Zero chance of him being re-elected but to be fair I doubt he'd want it. I think he's already hugely over achieved in landing this gig (one which he's not remotely qualified for).

I think even if he could do the best possible job of any human on the face of the earth the one term wouldn't be enough time to sort out America, the place is a mess on so many levels.

Will he have any 'real' power though? Surely the generals and that won't let him near the nuke codes. He'll be shown now he has to follow protocol and do the correct thing at meetings etc. Or can he just say no it's my way or no way?

Áine Ní Chonaill: “Anyone who abuses the asylum system, just as a way to get to the West, and it is massively abused, is an invader of our country.”
    Joe Duffy: “An invader?”
Ní Chonaill: “Anyone who barges their way into your country, against your will…”
Duffy: “Now it’s not my, your country. I mean who’s country is it?”
Ní Chonaill: “This is the country of Irish people. Do you think I’m making some exception of myself…”
    Duffy: “You don’t own it?”
Ní Chonaill: “I beg your pardon?”
Duffy: “We don’t own the country, when you say ‘your country’.”
Ní Chonaill: “We most certainly do own our country. If you think we don’t own our own country, Joe, you’ve got a very big problem.”
Duffy: “Maybe I have. They’re invaders?”
Ní Chonaill: “Anyone who is an illegal immigrant, ‘i’ ‘double l’, illegal, or I add on an asylum abuser is such a person.”
Duffy: “OK. What is the purpose of this invasion?”
Ní Chonaill: “To get to live in the West.”
Duffy: “Yeah, and do they want to rob anything off you or me or pillage or rape or…”
Ní Chonaill: “Well, excuse me, they want to rob from…”
Duffy: “Because invaders usually come because they want to rob, pillage, rape, overthrow…”
Ní Chonaill: “I beg…If you want to use that kind of language, go right ahead.”
Duffy: “But what do invaders do?”
Ní Chonaill: “Invaders are people who say, effectively, I’m coming into your country whether you like it or not.”
Duffy: “To do what? To do what?”

    This is why Trump won!

So many people think that this highly intelligent and powerful and wealthy man is a racist and a bigot and allowed him to play the media in his favour! every person he shook hands with and spoke to knows that Trump is a nice person and yet the media call him such awful names and women start crawling out of the opposition woodwork crying bullying and groping and fanny touching.

We all know that the accusations came from the hilary campaign.

Just listened to some fruitcake quack on Sean O'Rourke show, he is the head of psychology department in Trinners and was telling us that Trump will be a mental case dictator who will want to mount every person who stands up to him, he went on to say how disappointed he was that Hilary was not elected. How much of our taxpayers dollars is paid to these waster quacks by RTE?

That's true, I heard a comment on Pat Kenny this morning, saying that Trump is a businessman who works toward big goals, and his goal was becoming President, not dealing with all the stuff that comes after it. He'll get bored soon. In the meantime, boredom is a dangerous state of mind for a man with hundreds of billions of dollars of war toys.

Great to see the Oirish Meedja in full unbiased mode for once!

Caught 2 X 1 separate minutes of the Ronan Collins Show; on one of those segments he played a 21st Birthday request on behalf of a mammy for her son, in the other he played Gareth Bruuuuke's new song.

I'd imagine there's lots of 21year old listeners to Ronan's show alright.....;)

As for Gareth Bruuuuke's, I hope that's not the opening for a new tour so to speak.

Britain? They did before. A right ring populist move to halt the break up of the UK could provide motive. They could barely handle south Armagh, so it's probably not the defence forces they'd be afraid of =-O.

(They managed to get it into their head that it was our fault the provos weren't using water pistols back in the 70s).

As ludicrous as it sounds, it would be more likely for that to happen than anyone, bar martians, to invade the U S.

The gun ownership thing is possibly based on feeling powerful and the fear of violent crime in the U S, the latter is the elephant in the room.

Same rent a crowd types at these protests.

The same here. It actually waters down and distracts from real issues that ought to be protested.

You would think he got into power through a military junta the way these people are reacting. He was democratically elected, respect the process and get over it.
