Well unfortunately some of the Combined salesmen might have allowed the notion that is was an investment scheme to go unchallenged.

They were always considered a real shower of chancers.

That's the impression I got but as I've never had to deal with a policy of that type so wasn't sure.

Well it's a bit of a hybrid. Multiple years of contribution are reflected in higher payouts.

They're stupid schemes, though. More sensible to invest the same amount in some bog-standard managed fund.

I'd have thought you'd have to have life assuredance for that?

Surely by definition you'd have to be alive to be suffering from a critical illness?

It's EXACTLY the same as some car insurance companies not covering cars over 20 years old.

Life insurance totally different.

Great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ. Joe just said what I was gonna say, why don't they have 3 or 4 people who had critical cover and had drawn down a benefit from it. ( I don't wanna hear Insurance Company employees masquerading as policyholders)

Is Critical cover the same policy as a Personal accident policy.

Why does he want compensation? If the fines were to be used for anything let it be used to maintain cover for the rest of the current policy term.
