    The Wheel says Inshurdance.

PBH would be better doing this Combined Inshurdence story.

Along the lines of his notions of young and old, which are something of a moveable feast, depending on the context?

After yesterday's car crash, can't bring myself to tune in today - let me know if I'm missing anything good!

You don't "pay in to" critical illness insurance, it's the bloody same as car insurance, you pay your premiun each month and in the event of a claim that matches the list of illnesses they cover then they pay out.

It's one type of policy in which you're happy to see your premiums disappear into a black hole.

I was only able to listen to the first fifteen minutes yesterday but it seems I dodged a bullet.

As you get older the quote will be more, if you have had tests carried out and are awaiting results it will be a case of no chance.

I took it out 2000 years ago, and now they tell me I'm too old, Joe.

    Louth accent ?

    Whinge, whinge, whinge.
The ONLY measure of an inshurdance company is how much they wriggle ( or don't) when it comes to paying out.

Some of these callers sound actually sorry they didn't get a serious illness to cash out to get their moneys worth so to speak.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

What are they on about? Critical illness policy is like car or house insurance. Do these people think that it's a savings scheme?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,333 ✭✭✭✭BPKS

    High and Dry.

    6 or 7 so far.

    What has prompted them?

FFS, Joe. The population is slowly but surely turning into a collection of wrinkly old gits.
