You don't "pay in to" critical illness insurance, it's the bloody same as car insurance, you pay your premiun each month and in the event of a claim that matches the list of illnesses they cover then they pay out.

The ONLY measure of an inshurdance company is how much they wriggle ( or don't) when it comes to paying out.
