Cows are doing very well here since I gave them Zanil. And for a fella who claims to have never heard of rumen fluke or the dose for it, Dad is telling men left, right and centre that it's the only job for cows! He already has me signed up to do all the cows for a fella down the road.

    *sarcastic cheer* \o/

Drove past new Liffymills place in Ennis last Saturday. Went in for a peek. Bloody fine shop and yard. They must be expecting plenty of business. Don't know about their prices. Weanling ration expensive enough I thought when bough by the bag at least.

where is that yard, is it out the gort road ?

I draw a lot of stuff from their nenagh branch, even in busy times always loaded promptly , unlike another local outlet here.

Anyway it's more competition for the other yards in Ennis.
    Can't be a bad thing I suppose.

Met a lad today for the first time doing work for him...I said hello, nice to meet you, shook his hand. He said "I suppose it might be nice but you never know we could be fighting in a few minutes..." I said I doubted it would end up like that, he asked if I could tell that by looking at someone...

Such a way to start a conversation?! I've never come across something like it before. Needless to say one of his cows decided to go upside down in the crush and I, not-so-surprisingly given his opening statement, got the blame on me. Some people are cracked! You get all sorts!

Red & Black is a vet so it's a pity to see a farmer being a d1ck to him.

"Sure that hoor put down 10 of me best cows in the test"

Massive downpour here in South kerry. If it makes its way to the ploughing people will have to be airlifted outta there.

I was out to a cow with redwater and the blood donor was the one that ended up upside down in the crush. The cow was very far gone but we got her treated and when I called for an update the next day the redwater cow was coming around and he was in much better form funnily enough. Have heard since he has a peculiar manner so to speak. He might be more calm the next day! :)
