Right - all exchanges listed on the first eir's first 100K sheet are now in the main sheet - "First_100K"
I've protected the first 2 columns of the "First_100K" workbook so that this list stays put.

The other sheet is for "Other_Exchanges" - all other exchanges that aren't mentioned in the first 100K list.
Same format. No-ones edits should be lost.

Open to any suggestions as to adding/removing columns as long as we have some sort of consensus.

Can you add in a column with the number of premises for ech exchange, would be useful as there are already some major exchanges live such as Sandyford, Naas, Letterkenny etc

    Hi All,

Please find spreadsheet with all of that listed directly from openeir website, you can use your excel skills to format it and publish:

Anyone else surprised at the apparent lack of activity around the place?

Maybe eir weren't as raring to go in September as we thought?

LOL! :D Seem to be far busier tweeting and making little videos about how may poles and kms of cabling they'll need. Come on Eir get the finger out!

considering the preliminary work I saw here 1st week of April, no way did I expect to still be sitting waiting for them to come back mid way through September with very little if any activity happening elsewhere. The delays noted to all planned FTTH exchanges is only the first round of delays I'd imagine, plenty of exchanges that are listed for Winter 2016 are not even started yet. Expect most of them to roll over into Spring 2016.

I don't know if it was posted in this forum but could be relevant for some. Denis Naughten is about to go live on his facebook page to talk about the national broadband plan. https://www.facebook.com/DenisNaughtenTD/

I've accepted it, It's just disappointing that progress is this slow/late, especially considering that the FTTC rollout has been winding down since July and I presumed training was happening since early Summer. The level of progress over the next 6 to 8 weeks will be crucial to exchanges that will see homes connected in time for Christmas.

They still might be done by Christmas there probably trying to finish up the last of the FTTC first.Im hoping
You get it soon so I can start to seeing some process toward my area soon after.

Hey long_b just a couple of changes needed to the tracker. In Dublin can you remove the following exchanges from the First 100k sheet:
    • Brittas
    • Glencullen
    • Rathcoole

as they are not on the first 100K list. I have copied them to the other sheet. Also there are two entries for Finglas. Please delete one of them. Also can you sort Dublin by alphabetical order as it is the only one not done?

In Donegal the Carrick exchange has a go live of Winter/Spring but it was not on the original Openeir list so you could remove it if you wish? It is already on the other sheet.

In Kilkenny please remove the following:
    • Kilmacow
    • Mullinavat

as they are not on the list.

Also please add Knocktopher (Winter 2016/Spring 2017) under Kilkenny to the first sheet as somebody deleted it.

You maybe could also add another premises column. Call the first one Premises Due and the second Premises Live as I expect they will launch areas without completing all the premises in one go.

    Thanks.

    Added the second premises column.

Good spot on the Kilkenny exchanges. Had done a county by county count (see what I did there) and must have missed that.

I think Rathcoole (Dublin) is on the list.

There's a difference between the official list and the one on, say Silicon Republic.
Carrick (Donegal) isn't on the official list so I've removed it

Now we're nearly all ready ...

Can people not add in rows to the second sheet?

There's a rake of exchanges to go in yet but they're out of scope

Thanks for the changes. I don't know how I made the mistake with Rathcoole.

pegasus1 anyone can edit the second sheet so feel free to add exchanges if you want.

I have finished adding in the number of planned premises for the first 100K. In total it comes to 106340. The number of premises with a Winter 2016 date is 21750. Winter/Spring has a total of 71870. H2 2017 is 1060 while some areas have no date listed.

That'd be some ramp up in deployment rate if they hit it.

    Hi Folks
    Advice needed please.
I am currently with Eir and get approx 3meg download.
I am on the Enfield exchange which is listed for FTTH winter 2016. I am also allegedly within the coverage area of the Imagine Cappagh mast, approx 4 miles away. Some people seem to be reporting issues with Imagine, others are satisfied. I have actually paid the deposit to Imagine 2 months ago but have yet to hear from them (emailed them this morning for follow up).
What would you do: wait it out for FTTH or go with Imagine?

    Cheers.

well you could have FTTH by December or by March next year.I can't see any harm in getting imagine LTE but you have to pay the 100 euro cancellation fee when you finally get FTTH.

Yeah 100 euro isn't a bad walking away fee. I think I will go for it Anything is better that what we have at the moment.

Anyone on here in the Johnstownbridge surrounds signed up with Imagine?

I would go with Imagine for the moment. Even tho your exchange is listed for Winter 2016 that doesn't mean every blue line from that exchange is going to get completed at same time. Eir seems to be working on some routes but not all of them. A good indication would be if you have not seen any ground/preparation work in the area then your route may not get seen to for some time to come. Even in areas where ground work has happened, it can be a more than a 6 month wait between stage 1 and stage 2 which is the wiring.

Waiting years here for faster broadband with promise after promise broken - gonna get my landline disconnected tomorrow in protest of such a crap service. And I'm about 1km from a fibre cabinet. Living about 3kms from Limerick city centre. Any time I contact Eir all I get is excuses.

I've added all the 2017-2020 exchanges to the other sheet. Rahan in Offaly now has a live date of 12 October for FTTH.

Are KN only working on broadband implementation or are they also involved doing day-to-day maintenance for Eir? It's just that there was a KN Technician up a ladder working on a box on a pole across the road from the house. Our exchange has a go live date of Winter 2016/Spring 2007. It'd be great if he was working on bringing FTTH to the village.

They do a lot of work for repairs of copper lines too. The only sure way is to ask him what he's doing I'd say

It was a KN guy who installed my VDSL, including running a new line from a pole to the house, so he could be at anything.

In other news, I saw "Eircom works" signs on a blue line road near Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny. An area supposed to be in the winter/spring rollout. I didn't get far down the road to see what was happening (maybe have a look later), but this was parked at the start of the works area. Fibre related?

Could be above ground fibre or regular copper. Considering the current works I'd bet the former.

Saw KN installing the black rectangular fiber optic splice closure-aerial closure on the poles where for 6 months or so, tails were coiled and left hanging on the dublin road outskirts in kilkenny city today

Could this mean that the splicing process is done as a separate job order, than running a tail out on a pole from a duct as I doubt the houses all ordered ftth all at the same time
