Conor got the second round because of the knockdown, but he lost the round in reality.

I disagree but you know what they say about opinions

Am I the only one who thinks thats FOTY so far? Absolute war, two guys just slugging it out and both guys showed so much heart and courage. Surprised Big John didn't have Diaz checked out at least once though, his eye looked welded shut in round 4 & 5

He looked very closely a few times but I'm guessing he seen Diaz advancing and considered that he was OK to continue.

But yeah, surprised he didn't at least call the doctor.

I don't think it's anywhere near Lawlor vs Condit or Wonderboy vs McDonald.

I thought Wonderboy Vs. McDonald was one of the worst fights I've ever seen. Seriously.

    Opinions are crazy.

No idea, I usually watch it on the official UFC youtube but no sign of it tonight. It was meant to be cancelled after all.

That would have been my pick for FOTY before this. I dunno, think the emotion and the back-and-forth nature of this one as well as everything they threw and took takes it for me.

    Interesting stats.

More total strikes, more significant strikes, infinitely more octagon control.

Please remember when looking at overall stats, that rounds are scored individually.

Don't know when but Diaz checked one of the leg kicks and he broke his foot off his shin. Imagine something similiar to Silva being leg-checked by Weidman and his leg breaking. The shin is extremely tough and with the speed those guys are kicking, shin wins and breaks bone.

Seems he only started limping after fight and while walking out. I didn't notice Conor showing signs of it during fight?

True, but 3 knockdown vs zero.

I can see how it was so close but also I can see why Mcgregor edged it..

Yes but anyone with a set of eyes can see McGregor won round 1,2 & 4. They weren't even difficult to score.

The knockdowns shaded it for Mcgregor.

Jesus did you bet your first born's soul on a Diaz win or something, multiple posts as if Diaz was robbed.

Adrenaline will do wonders for your body man. It will make you walk with a severely hurt and injured body as well as not allow you to feel the pain.

Multiple heart attacks throughout the main event. Well done Conor. Would not be mad at a trilogy after Conor fights Aldo.
