Mcgrath deserves another term if we loose Sunday provided it's not a repeat of the Tipp display, Give him another year and see if he tweeks the system

Do Stephen Bennett or Paddy Curran deserve to be chasing shadows and watching pot shots fly over their heads?

He's had a year to tweak the system, and it's just getting more and more boring and negative. When was the last time we were involved in a really good game, Kilkenny under Skully?

I think the Tipp game was a blip to be honest and we won't be as bad again, but will we ever play in such a way under McGrath that we can realisically hope to beat Tipp and Kilkenny?

Just an observation but compared to other years there are very few flags, buntings etc out.........that is in Dungarvan anyway.
No cars with flags no sense that we are in an AI semi final.
Are we resigned to our fate?

It's a strange one alright, but I was in KK during the week and its the same, its the same in the national press, you would be hard pressed to know the game was on this weekend.

Without trying to be over dramatic, Hurling is at a crossroads and heading towards crisis and no one seems to even notice, just look at the attendances as proof.

Hurling is beginning to get very boring and predictable. There hasnt been a truly great game in the last two years other than the Tipp Galway semi final last year.
What kid watching the games this year would be inspired to head out and emulate what they see?

It seems negativity is imbedded into the Waterford people's way of thinking . I see it everyday were always beaten before were beat .

We're happiest when we're not happy
We need to change that mindset and start believing in ourselves

Gonna give Derek the benefit of the doubt cos I reckon he has a plan up his sleeve.

If we're travelling home Sunday after losing by 6 points but knowing we tried our hardest I wont feel aggrieved

We're in the semi final... that's the important thing so far... KK are the best at what they do.. at least we're there to have a crack off them.

Once we play our best I'll be happy...

Best of luck to the lads....

KK and Wat supporters deserve a good game

Lads just got tickets in 307 on tickets.ie only 35.00 per adult as opposed to 40 guess they kept the club prices when they put them up

theres no option to buy them though the dropdown is greyed out

There was. I went right through to the payment option. Didn't put card details in though as I have tickets. Doubt if they would honour them anyway at that price.

    No shanahan? ?

This a hint they've abandoned the one man full forward....can't see any of them doing that role

Outside of gleeson and I fancy him to man marking Richie hogan

After much debating with myself, I went and got myself a ticket for Sunday. I just hope that they play with some forwards and stop the wild shooting. If we borrow a trick from Wexford some years ago and run and stretch KK, we've a good chance but if we stick to the defensive system, I don't see much hope.

no changes nor should there be , these lads are amazing and are capable, imagine on sunday if a 57 year record is broken ,and believe it can happen,i have to ask mt 70 year old father about 59 he wasnt a teenager then.

I know only one thing KK have a record to lose, and sooner or later we are taking it off them, wexford beat cork in hurling first time in 60 years, tipp in a football semi first time in 81 years, records are there to be broken ,and i am hopeful if not optimistic we have as good a chance as any

there is an opportunity here, we need to seize it

Not going to make the same mistake as last year going to Dublin to watch that team, McGrath needs to go asap, this has the potential to be worse than 2008. Kilkennys intermidates would put it up to that team.

There's two changes, Curran and Shanahan dropped.

And who of that kk team outside of hogan would you pick ahead of the waterford counterpart??

Slate the system all Ya want....man for man.....that is some team on paper and a very. Strong bench to match

Sunday will show if the rumours of mismanagement and excessive training before the tipp match....I hope they win anyway

I think the better question is what lads would make the Kilkenny team?
    1 sok
    2 Aussie
    3 Shane Bennett

One thin for sure is Dilion wouldn't get near there camogie team

I hope Waterford win too, but it's delusional to think they will, the bookies were giving Waterford a 3pt head start, in reaction to the team been named there gone to 5pts.

The spread has been -5 Kilkenny at a shade of odds in since the book opened so less BS please.

Ah sher it's a big day out for all the DLS lads, up DLS, that's why we won't win anything politics! Look at Sean power and the minor team and current u21 team, no politics there

It's 14 of the 15 that started against kk last year. Kk have 12 of the same 15 . This is a thread about Waterford GAA. Opinions are great to hear . The constant sniping at mcgrath and DLS or Jake Dillon or whoever is just ridiculous. Mcgrath, Dan and Fintan are the management team and if people don't like it then get your club to bring it up at a county board meeting and vote them out, otherwise just support the team that's there and stop the negativity and let Sunday take its course . And If we get hockeyed then people can justifiably be negative. Clare, Cork, Linerick, Dublin etc would love to be in a semi final against KK on Sunday but they're not. We are so let's be positive and support the management and players
