After having a 200sx s14a, Honda Accord Type R and BMW E46 320d in the last 3 years, I've gone to a Skoda.............

    VRS that is. 1.8T with 180bhp. I like it a lot :)

I love those VRS's, do you mind if I ask how much it set you back? Am seriously considering getting one.

It is great fun to drive, way more front end grip than I'd thought it would have.

And considering my 200sx had 260bhp, and the ATR 215bhp, this has enough power to keep me happy.

And it has a boot you could fit 6 dead bodies in :D

    Also, Pm'd re price :)

Ha, not often you hear that! There were 4 reasons I came to the US, in no order:

    1. Better job

    2. To live somewhere where the government doesn't crucify anyone wanting to own something more powerful than a Micra.

    3. To own and drive fast, powerful and iconic cars.. daily.

    4. To find a nice girl. Was having trouble with that one back home. Met a nice girl, but still having trouble. I shouldn't be surprised!

The company sign in one of your photo's reminded me who you are! That's quite a step up from the C30, how's the handling?

Lovely looking 'Stang C.D. and fine list of options but why, oh why didn't you go for the V8?

It was a choice between the 5.0l V8 with no toys and the V6 with loads of toys.. if there is one thing I like more than raw power it's having toys in the car (+leather, Xenons). Being able to say "Climate 65 degrees" and have my climate control adjust is awesome. Saying "Destination CubicleLand" and seeing my Sat Nav route me to work makes me feel like a kid on Christmas all over again! I do have to put on a faux American accent to get it to work though :/

Small step alright :p I haven't had her long enough to really push her limits. She's not broken in so I have been taking it easy. Plan on road tripping down the Californian coast in a few weeks. I'll get back to you then :) There are a few options to adjust for different driving experience- sport/comfort steering etc.

Don't have the car anymore. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat though. Find myself browsing donedeal and gumtree regularly.

It's a wonder it took you that long to sell the 8. Low milage, excellent condition, upgraded starter etc. It was one that I had my eye on when I was trying to sell the MPS :)

Ya I know, the market sucks balls at the moment, works in your favour when trying to buy something a little special but makes it a nightmare trying to sell private. Had a sum total of 2 people out to look at it since I started trying to sell lots of interest and silly offers but only 2 arrived to check it out, second one bought it though so think it was more waiting for the right buyer.

Done and dusted now though so got some money in the kitty for a few project on the new car, a remap is definitely on the books :).

That's true but how could you go diesel? How could you do it to yourself?? :P

I got sick to the teeth of trying to sell the MPS so I just traded it in. Funnily enough, a guy who was onto me but didn't have the funds together at the time bought it from the garage I traded it in to!

Also, the R3 that was for sale - poor chap nearly had to fork out 3700 for a new diff but got one from a series 1 instead. He then sold it and it now lives in Cork.

Hauld on, no they didn't. They had shares in Mazda, nothing more, nothing less and if Matt Simis (or anyone else for that matter) comes along with a fvcken pie chart or graph detailing these shares, I'll go absolutely apesh!t!!
