I emailed.. LargeVolume3@publicjobs.ie ..yesterday for an update. They responded this morning to advise that no-one has been called forward to Stage 2 for my chosen location yet. I generally email them every few months just to see if there's any movement or update & they always respond. They don't give much info, just confirm that no-one has moved forward yet.

@bren2001 Was your interview a rescheduled one?

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has been called.

It would be nice to see some movement here.

    Rescheduled

I was told I was pushed back to the next batch. Even though my application was scored higher, I cannot jump ahead of people who were interviewed in May if I am successful. Hence, I assume they have called more people past the previous OOM.

Thanks @bren2001 and the very best of luck in the interview.

I contacted PAS and there has been movement in Dublin.

"We have now invited up to Open OOM 83 and Interdepartmental OOM 43 to Stage 3 - Main Interview, for Dublin."

Yes, I can confirm that I got the invite for the last week of July. OOM between 70 and 80.

I’m 320s in the open and 200s in the inter, and I even though I was optimistic at the start that I’ll be invited, I already started preparing for the competition next year 😔

    Hi

I am preparing for an Assistant Principal interview soon. I was going to try Carr Communications for some coaching.

Has anyone had AP mentoring with Carrs and been successful in getting the job?

    Thanks

Same here! I got a good oom outside Dublin, however they haven't called yet anyone yet for my location... 🙄😑

Encouraging to see some movement in Dublin at least… Similar to others I’m finding this campaign to be exceptionally slow, but hopefully things will start to pick up after the summer. Best of luck to everyone interviewing, keep us updated!

I got an email last week saying I was being considereal for a position and to complete pre employment checks. Garda Vetting and references. So there is definitely movement in the Dublin panel. Best of luck to those going for interview.

Has anyone on the Cork Panel been interviewed/assigned yet?

If so would you mind confirming your OOM please?

Just trying to see if much movement, if any, on the Cork Panel.

    Thanks in advance

It's very disheartening ...going to the effort of preparing & submitting an application & the elation of passing the Stage 1 tests..only to come to a complete standstill. I'm not holding out any hope of going further given how slow the progress has been so far. It's crazy when you hear that civil service are so understaffed!

Sure is a slow burner this one, I wonder will they extend it.

Does anyone know how long it is typically between having an interview and actually starting an AP position?

i interviewed end of May and due to start early/mid September

Someone in my office who was on the Dublin-only AP comp from 2023 just got placed before the panel expired at the end of July. So anyone waiting to be called for Dublin was also competing with that panel. Things might speed up a bit now that that panel is closed. 🤷

Got invited to interview this morning - my OOM was in the 90s for Dublin open.

    Edit

Does anyone have any idea how far through the Batch 1 OOM they are? PAS seem to have called the first 260 Open & 167 Inter D to Batch 1. It would be great to get an idea to see if they are anywhere near calling a second batch.

    Thanks 😊

Early 100s and called to interview this morning . So almost half way through Batch 1

Thats great to know! I suppose there is no way of knowing how many from the Stage 2 progressed to Stage 3. Surely it is unlikely that everyone passed?

Has anyone heard any updates for Galway?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 228 ✭✭AngelaG

Not everyone would have passed the shortlisting so not sure how many got through

    Hi everyone

Congratulations to everyone getting through the stages.

I have now applied for four AP campaigns.

2020, passed tests and put on video interview

    2021 same as above

    2022 falied numerical

    2024 failed verbal

Has anyone any advice on this. Is the process getting more difficult or has anyone else experienced this?

    TThanks

    Hi there

I just noted your post there and I am just interested on what way you are preparing now for next year's competition?

I need to myself too. It's always very last minute rush with my prep!

    Thanks

OOM in 130s for Dublin and got message yesterday for interview in just over 2 weeks time. Lurker here for awhile checking on updates. Really hoping to move from private sector to CS, so we'll see how interview process goes as it's a new one for me. I did go through a Grad competition many years ago, so not entirely alien in how process operates, but will be an experience either way.

Hi, were you called for another AP comp or this 2024 PAS one?

I emailed PAS as I am close to 130s for Dublin to see the OOM called and this is their response.

"At present we have called forward up to open OOM 83 and interdepartmental OOM 43 to stage 3 interview and presentation for Dublin."
