    I emailed PAS today, they said they haven’t heard anything about extending but applicants would be notified via the message board if they do decide to extend.

    Thank you! Capability framework is available out there. It's a good guide. I did a normal interview prep and had an example or two to cover each of the 8 sub-sections ready.

    Received the Stage 2 results in Feb, invited to Stage 3 (interview) at the start of August and interviewed at the end of August. Stage 2 OOM was <100 for Dublin open.

    It just depends on how far they get within the planned duration of the competition/panel. It's set to expire in mid December I think. So anyone shortlisted at that point but not interviewed won't be interviewed after that, likewise anyone on the panel for a role not hired by that point won't be hired from this competition.

    Hi all

    I am hoping to go for the next AP when it comes up. I note now PAS use the Capability framework.

    I am only familiar with the older PAS Competency model. I just have a couple of questions,

    Are there any guidelines lin relation to completing the form as per the Capability framework. Where might I source them?

    Has anyone been successful at the nterview process using the Capability framework and how does it compare to the Competency framework as per line of questioning ( (any relevant buzz words )

    Any POs, (retired or otherwise) or Communication companies that can help

    Anyone has an estimation of how many APO they'll get this year? And if there's any chance they can extend the expiry date? I heard they've done it in the last competition so hopefully they can do it this year as well…

    Good morning. In relation to the Capability Framework, in my opinion, this is a way to assess your current skills, strengths etc and/ or your ability to achieve those skills required to perform the job. Prior to this one had to display where/how they displayed these skills, however, not everyone has opportunities to use/display them to their optimum. Capability indicates if you have the opportunity/situation requiring those skills, you can show that you are capable.

    Does anyone know how many many from Dublin were initially shortlisted in stage 2 for Batch 1? Looking back it looks like maybe the first 260 were assessed for shortlisting but I could be way off.

    Is Batch 1 exhausted after 1.3 or will there be a 1.4? Or, put more simply, is there anyone left in Batch 1 who passed shortlisting but hasn't reached interview yet?

    If there's no 1.4, does that mean Batch 2 might happen soon, and will back to the original OOMs for Stage 1 and shortlist another chunk of people (who ranked over 260 or so on the Open list)?

    For Dublin, PAS are still using the line 167 from the interdepartmental and 260 from the open proceeded to shortlisting. Anecdotally I know someone who is in the 90s interd and 150s of the open who will interview in the first week of October. I believe that's batch 1.5, maybe 1.6.

    Thanks both - my deduction skills were way off so. So, Batch 1.5 is interviewing start of October, which only goes up to around the 150s on the Open - so in all likelihood a Batch 1.6 (or even 1.7) would need to happen before they think about a Batch 2?

    I think are interviewing up to (at least) 170 in the Dublin Open Stream in October based on people I know that were called. To get actual numbers you can email PAS and ask how many have been called to Stage 3 for a certain location. They are usually quick to come back.

    Well done to all that have passed. I have an interview in October and plan to review the Capability framework and to plan out examples. Good luck to everyone else stressing about interviews 🍀
