and to cap it all, I called into M&S on the way home. Got a few items. The Sparks app said I had a free gift - easy peelers (oranges). Added the offer, phone scanned when paying. Just checked the online receipt & I was charged for them. They weren’t even that nice. Glad there’s only two hours left in the day.

The traffic in Drumcondra these days. It's absolutely chronic. Have had to change to an earlier bus and it's still taking an hour to travel the epic 7.5km between Glasnevin and Stephen's Green.

Thanks. To be honest, I've a few minor medical problems that have eaten my attention span So I'm not really worried about it. It's been over half a decade since I was last offered a position so maybe things have changed.

It’s been insane the last two weeks, especially in the mornings. It’s taking the 101 bus almost 30 minutes to get from Whitehall Church to Dorset Street.

Ta'ed that now they are making hot cross buns out of the barmbrack mix and selling them at the same time.

Traffic crazy here as parents picking up kids with their Junior Cert results… I will delay running my errand until normal service resumes.

TA1 - took me 90 minutes to get home in the pouring rain yesterday. Town (Belfast) was insane for traffic. The bus I was getting never showed up so I had to stand and wait an extra 25 minutes in the rain for the alternative route bus which leaves me off further away from home. Then sat in traffic for another 25 minutes.

TA2 - the acetone I had to use to remove my powder dip nails very kindly reminded me that I had a cut on my finger. Had to put up with it though to get the damn powder off.

TA3 - despite being promised a social-free evening, MIL had a sudden life or death issue with her emails that had to be fixed immediately. Had to traipse across town to fix that too.

TA4 - stress of a sick kitty and general life sh1te has left me with a coldsore.

I had to tell my husband to just leave the room last night because I was so irritable and snappy I couldn't help myself taking the bad mood out on him.

Cramps on both my feet, to the point that my toes are curling upwards and sideways and the muscles on my shins are cramping, too. If I point the toes downwards the spasm moves to my calves and the arch of my feet.

I think I may lack potassiom somewhat.

Being fooled by Amazon to buy stuff in their sale. Only to cancel a few minutes later. It's basically the Argos Catalogue for the Matrix. Dopamine hit, then buyers remorse, and endless crap delivered to your door, huge environmental cost of bespoke super fast delivery, and subsequent dump to landfill. It really is the Earth's killer app. 🙄

yep, chronic traffic everywhere today , only midweek yet, Glasnevin, Santry, Whitehall, Beaumont, Northern Cross, Coolock, backlogged, at a time where none of it corresponding to schools. Special mention to the pensioner in the i10 in Santry who decided when there was a bit of clear road ahead to operate that vehicle after all that traffic backlog …at around 23 kmph, clear road ahead of them in a 50. Weaving in and out of imaginary obstacles. 😒. Be glorious if they’d in addition to speed, drink driving etc. also clamp down on pure shitè general dangerous driving…. 🤪

Mod - Can we keep to the spirit of the thread please? Trivial annoyances.
There are plenty of threads in CA to discuss political matters.

    Thanks.

Big toe nail takes approximately 9 to 12 months to grow out so if its not causing you any issues, you can just cut them as normal and it will be grand.

I made a nice dinner earlier but wasn't that hungry so only ate some of it.

Later, now I'm in bed hungry and going back and forth whether or not I'll get up and finish my nice dinner.

    It's cozy in bed.

a podcast has a guest on say her name is jane ,

The presenter spends most of the time talking about her own personal problems lifestyle eg I only listen to your podcast to hear your guest talking I don't give a damn about you and what happened to you in school etc. I,d like to hear jane talk about her own life career etc

No one under the age of 20 should have an iphone buy android it has a wider range of apps that are free and it has an earphone socket that takes any headphone or earphone 3.5mm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,392 ✭✭✭thereiver

Bbc sounds does not seem to have an option to save and download podcasts and listen to them later .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,435 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

I used it in the past.

The feature is still there in the app, but the option to download isnt available for almost all content as far as I can tell. Maybe if in UK it can be used more.

I've definitely posted this before, but when you ask someone two or three (or more) questions in an email, and they only answer the first one 😠

Also, I forgot my phone today. That'll be more than a TA as soon as Microsoft 365 needs me to authenticate a log-in to something in work.

Its worse when they go on to say "if you have any other questions don't hesitate to contact me".

Wake me up when it's all over.

Youtube videos that right at the beginning of a total load of crap say "watch to the end". Sorry if you have to tell me that its a red flag saying your content isn't worth watching.

Wake me up when it's all over.

its as bad as people in a group chat / whatsapp asking a Q that was answered in the same chat! Just scroll back, Brian! Did you know that there is a search option on texts /whatsapp so that you can even type "football" and see what time the training starts and not be spoon-fed, Karen!
