Presumably VMTV told him to pay back what he he owed before they took him on so he wouldn't bring any dirty laundry with him.

the possibility of RT returning to RTE up - even under some kind of a low key guise is comparable the Bertie Aherne becoming. The FF presidential candidate. Both would be coming in with very significant baggage. It would be a Hugh risk to take and that move, if made, could fall flat on its face

Yes, the stain is removed but the CaUSE remains

He had a piece, on Sunday,in his weekly column with Evoke on how people's manners have worsened and that we no longer engage in civil discourse. Then yesterday he posted a clip to Instagram from his radio show, with Miriam Margoyles talking about how she just sits on people on public transport, if there's no available seats. He was laughing at her saying this. Don't know if he saw the hypocrisy in that. Really disappointed at him laughing at her appalling behaviour.

I'm sure any new show with TV3 will be prerecorded with best chums, people from abroad on their promotional tours and the usual NK roulette. I doubt they'll even chance a studio audience.

I thought the Tv3/VM thing was a one off interview of him ? Maybe it’s being hyped up to be more ?

She sat on a person who also has a disability, without even asking anyone else for a seat. My point was that Ryan had an article on Sunday decrying bad manners and how people treat each other in public, yet he was in hysterics when she said that she just sat on another disabled person. Of course someone should have offered her a seat, but it doesn't give her the right to plonk herself down on another disabled person, because she needs a seat.

Your original post didn't say that she sat on another disabled person. If that was the case, it would certainly throw a new light on her behaviour.

We can add laughing at old people sitting on disabled people to the list of Tubridy’s “crimes”😉

This newspaper report of the programme does not say that the person she sat on was disabled. The most offensive thing there to Boards users would be the "who was sat".

"She went on to detail an instance where a man, who was sat in the reserved seats, had his head stuck in his phone and was quickly sat on by her.

‘It went well for me,’ she told Ryan, ‘But it didn’t go well for him I don’t think. I think he was a bit un-chuffed by it but he got up fairly smartly actually."

It's a french format, neurodivergent people talk interview a "star" … it was funded by the CnaM … using your License Fee … it checks all the boxes …

And yes he is one of the guests on the show.

Extra.ie’s crack reporting team seem to have a lot of detail

The point I was making was that he was making a big deal about how people's manners have deteriorated and then a day later he was guffawing at her sitting on another person, without their consent. Disabled or not, do you not see the hypocrisy in that? I'm actually a fan of his programme, but was disappointed in him on this occasion.

Tubridy is launching a tour from outside Virgin studios, taking tourists all around London. Will start at half one with a visit to a greasy spoon restaurant, then he will take people all around the major tourist sites in London until they finish up at the Devonshire at five o'clock. The first tour is in early December, so will be interesting to see how popular it will be.

I don't see any inconsistency. If a healthy young or middle-aged man is sitting on a reserved seat and not offering it to someone obviously in need then they should to be embarrassed. She's an eccentric who does and says outrageous things that are amusing.

Tubridy laughing is a natural response to an amusing anecdote.

    Time you lightened up.

He didn’t mention whether or not you'll have to pay for the tour. Will visit Westminster and SoHo. Will only last for three and a half hours so you won't see much in that time. Tourists will be looked after in the Devonshire at the end.
