They have 3 good prospects in the academy already

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,138 ✭✭✭ulsteru20s

Unless something has changed they have two. The reason i thought that was there seems to be a glut of good thps in leinster right now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 312 ✭✭Hey_Ho_Lets_Go_3

id say they will inevitably try and sign one.. granted Cian Walsh at u18 is their best prospect at the position in a long time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,138 ✭✭✭ulsteru20s

yea, there is sparrow, deay, mullan and smyth and they all can't stay at leinster you'd think. You'd assume two of those would end up elsewhere even if that's not pro rugby or outside ireland.

deay looks odd man out.. then see in a few years

i guess it will be calvey going to lhp.

I thought there would be more rotation in u18s. The last game was less than a week ago.

Yea the vaunted leinster production line is basically two schools plus some others.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,139 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

Amen! We should all prostate ourselves at the gate of 'Rock and pray for more! More! I say! Fcukin more!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,557 ✭✭✭snotboogie

Great return from CBC Cork as well considering they have been the poorer cousin in the city in terms of player production for a long time now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,757 ✭✭✭Lost Ormond

No we shouldnt. We should be querying how wr cant get more from so many other schools and do more to get players from clubs and smallet schools to this and highet levels

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,757 ✭✭✭Lost Ormond

Not that long a time and its not an extraordinary amount or anything new for cbc to hace those kind of numbers.

    28-26 to France.
Substitute scrum half just booted the ball out when we were in their half because he thought we were winning. The French coaches had a good laugh at that.

    5-8 to Ireland.

Good defence and individually some good players on show but when you are trying to play a game of rugby without a line out or a ruck you arent going to see much ball unfortunately…

  • Registered Users Posts: 312 ✭✭Hey_Ho_Lets_Go_3

Yeah o'shaughnessy scored a good try combining with o'dwyer.

    Molony showed some good skill.

    McNeice very athletic.

  • Registered Users Posts: 312 ✭✭Hey_Ho_Lets_Go_3

    Hooker cant throw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,477 ✭✭✭Shehal

It's actually frustrating to watch because individually there are some really good players here but the ruck is an absolute free for all for Italy and the line out is a complete crap shoot. Ireland havent really had any real possession since they scored the try.

EDIT - And they finally get more possession and look another try scored!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,477 ✭✭✭Shehal

Try Ireland!!! Charlie Molony, 5-20 with a conversion to come!

The Irish number 8 must be a fan of Gavin Coombes I'm guessing 😂

Conversion scored, Italy 5 Ireland 22
