    OP here

    I opted out of the smart metre program and maintain an old day/night metre.

    And the good news is that I have been paid the fully backdated micro generation credit from Electric Ireland and continue to get paid each bill.

    ...for the moment....

    If that helps anyone make a decision...

    If on a day night you don't have to opt out currently, as they aren't being replaced yet.

    Because you have DN you get the deemed.

    If they can swap your DN for a SM would you let that happen? (But still stay on the DN plan)
