I’m terrible at getting things on the vpn. I’ll wait until it lands on NowTv.

Wayward was on one of the streamers during Covid and I enjoyed it, can’t remember much but similar premise. I’d say it’s worth a watch.

It's not looking so good for the population of "From" from that episode lol. Such a way to start off

More muted second episode but building more lore - seems the place is there a long long time - big Lost vibes again

Yeah I'm getting the Lost vibes as well and it's worrying. I'm getting a bit bored with it to be honest, the whole concept is just being rehashed with variations and more mysterious things happening. I feel like this series will be a victim of it's own early success, probably dragged out for 5 or 6 series and then hastily wrapped up when viewership drops

If they answer some questions, it would help. Not all but enough to keep people Interested.

I think it's great! I love the pacing then again I really enjoyed Lost.

Ia but worried about what Fatima is carrying with her eating the rotten fruit.

Yeah I was wondering about that. Also clear that previous generations have lived in that area from the ruins the guys found/paintings we saw, wonder what happened to them and why all the current inhabitants are "modern" rather than descendants of anyone who existed there previously.

Really strong start to season 3. Kenny's mom's death was handled with maximum impact. Just showing a glimpse as we watched Boyd was pretty harrowing. Then giving us the flashback to show what happened was pure horror. And then, icing on the cake the jukebox going off with "Celebrate".

I like that, as the final season, it's taking a bleaker tone with the supplies and the weather shifting. It all feels like it's building to an end.

I've high hopes that this closes out in a satisfying way and have learned from the mistakes of Lost. The new mysteries (WTF type of pregnancy does Fatima have, Tabitha on the outside being the latest "chosen one", the new huts and vegetable patch, Jim getting the phone call) are nice "oooooh cool" moments, but they need to pay off.

Anyone have any thoughts on who the boy in white is that Tabitha keeps seeing. She had a sort of "oh god" reaction when she saw the painting of him… and then the next scene was "Thomas" calling Jim. Is the boy Thomas?

Oh, one minor thing with ep 2… given all the Victor's dad knows based on his wife's experiences, why did he not immediately believe Tabitha. It was only the mention of the tower that got his attention but not the story of being in a place no-one could find, and you couldn't escape from.

Final season? Thought they had plans for at least 5 seasons

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,174 ✭✭✭youcancallmeal

It hasn't even been renewed for season 4 yet but the expectation is it will and then probably finish season 5 or 6. MGM bought it so they have the budget to do that

Interesting featurette looks like they are hinting more main characters getting killed off this season

Oh right. I thought this was it… I'd nearly rather it was wrapping up this season and not drag on and on. I was looking forward to some answers :D

Well that was a great ending to this weeks episode

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,559 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I had to check the episode number was correct as for some reason it felt like I had watched more than 2 episodes this season.

Was wondering if we would get new people and how we would get them. I know they have Victor's dad as a new character but thought he would stay in the real(?) world. But new medical people will be a plus.

Am I the only one hoping for Dale to become a victim?

Was there any point Fatima could've been impregnated by something, other than Ellis, of course? Don't think there was.

    well then…

So, is that how the bracelet and the ambulance got to Fromville? Are we looking at time travel? are people arriving at different times in Human history and that explains all the dates?
OR are Victor and Tabitha related, explains the bracelet in the family.
Maybe they are doing some multiverse thing, Fcuk ive questions!

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

I gave the first 2 seasons the benefit of the doubt that they learned their lesson from Lost but it looks very much we are heading that way with season 3. Tabitha's storyline is getting too Losty

Also they're still in the zone of not talking about what they're experiencing. Lads, people will believe you, it's ok to share that you're seeing things.

I'd seriously leave half the villagers outside without a talisman 🙈

I stuck with Lost so will stick with this but i'm struggling to even guess what will happen next. I guess they can just explain their situation by God or a supernatural entity.

You think that's bad. Wait till you see what she does in the latest episode. I even found that hard to watch. Yuck.

"I like that, as the final season, it's taking a bleaker tone with the supplies and the weather shifting. It all feels like it's building to an end."

Can't see it ending this season. Too many questions to answer. I love it. I hope it get 5 seasons.

Latest episode was brilliant so tense so much going on.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Just watched the first two episodes. Did not think the first one was great but the second episode was much better. Nice to see that they are not afraid to kill off some characters too.

I would say it's more like "The Dome" than From.

Be interesting to see where it goes.

Latest episode is a cracker. Possibly the best episode the show has put out in it's 3 seasons so far. It was just relentless with so many interesting side plots going on in parallel. While the show is a slow burn horror/mystery it usually limits the "shock" or edge of seats moments to 1 per episode… this was knocking them out left, right and center… the ambulance arrival, Randall, Jasper (cause that's what the show was missing to send me over the edge), Fatima moving on from her vegan phase, the freaky water lady (Fatima?), Randall again.

I also love that at the end of episode 3, everyone was like "yes, two new medics and a cop". That hope ended real quick. How Tabitha let herself get cuffed though, knowing what was outside. I mean, I'd be throwing legs and arms to get out of that ambulance and legging it for the closest house.

Well at least they found a way to make Dale useful.

Maybe all those numbers in the bottles control the tree.

Another great episode, and a bit more of a slow burner this week, letting the town regroup a bit. The town hall bit was a bit head wrecking in the way they all jumped on Tabitha. Ok, yeah you have a bit of a knee jerk reaction but come on who would believe her on the outside. It at least helped build up the growing frustration and irrational (well… rational) fear in the town, culminating with Dale taking action and immediately becoming a lesson for the rest of the town. What a horrible way to go… it wasn't even immediate, he had time to process what was going on and how badly he f*cked up.

Victor seeing his Dad again was so well done. It could have been cheesy but the silence broken by "I didn't know how to get home" was just perfect. That it was cued up by Ethan saying he thinks Victor runs away because everyone he loves dies here, made it all the more bittersweet.

Glad to see Jade back on a mission after being fairly lost so far this season. I hope we get to see what happens between Victor, Jade and Jasper before the season is done.
