Okay, I’m not a Westlife fan, but I do like their songs. This is for sure one of their better hits and fortunately here, their debut. I can kind of remember when this was released, I was probably at college and I listened to a lot of radio back then so I can relate to music from the late 90s a lot. These guys were like everywhere, hit after hit. I actually prefer their second single, but this will have to do. Yes I know, my music credibility is ruined forever, blame

    . Great pick.

I like Kesha, she can sing, no regrets in picking her

She has her issues but has catchy songs

    Review

It has been well documented that I’m not an Oasis fan so if you are going to pick song from them it better be damn good. I do like a few of their songs, this one is average. These guys were the best band in the world back in the day so take my opinion of them with a pinch of salt. I think what it is is it stems back to the mid 90s, my friend was a Man Utd fan (and still is obviously) and I’m of course a Liverpool fan. He liked Oasis so I didn’t. Yes, we were like that. I can, however, appreciate things better in my older age. I don’t like Liam's voice, it is so bland, it sounds the same in every song. Now if the song is really good then I can overlook that. Lyrically, these guys are top notch. Now back to this song, it has decent musically, nice guitars, cool lyrics but there is that voice again. A good debut no doubt but for me, it is an average song.

Well did someone get lucky here or what! I don’t like grunge, that includes Pearl Jam. However, wait, let me finish please….this is a great song. Love the guitar in this song. It is like it is just floating, I am not sure how one would imagine that. Great vocals and I love that it gets a little funky in the middle. I will admit I like a few Jam songs. But I have to say that guitar just wins this song over for me. Brilliant. A lucky pick?....nah well played.

    Garbage - Vow

Not really a Garbage fan so this song was always going to be difficult to rate highly. Of the limited number of songs I know from them, this is actually not too bad. Wouldn’t be mad about the lyrical content. Musically it sounds pretty good. The guitar work I like most. I must admit, during my research I found that Garbage are an American band, who here assumed they were British what with Shirley being Scotish? I did. So it’s an okay song from a Meh band, not a great pick unfortunately. I know for sure I’m in the minority here.

Brilliant, this is a real debut hit. This song was a game changer when released. I just hadn’t heard anything similar before. I’m not sure if they were pioneers but they brought this genre more mainstream. Great musically and vocally. Love Amy Lee’s voice and I love piano pieces in songs. This song just doesn’t get boring, tempo changes, power chords, catchy lyrics ranks this tune pretty high for me. Not surprising that more than one picked it. It is not my favourite song by them but as debuts go, this was difficult to top.

Absolutely thrilled to see Evenflow appear in Walrus, but it was most definitely not PJ's debut single.

    Woohoo!!!!

I wasn't sure how that song would do here. Evanescence seems to be a bit marmite here on Boards.

But i've loved that band since this song came out.

And actually I'm not suprised that Shelly submitted it too, because i know she's a fan too :)
