According to the 60 minutes piece have been observed for years, some pilots went on record saying they encountered these objects literally every day for years when they were on air patrol. Some pilots describe seeing an inarticulate object that just looked like a big tic tac that seemed to defy the laws of physics with no articulable propulsion system etc.

If we're assuming for truth that USAF pilots have seen for example, a tic tac, and other examples, that are flying through the air at impossible rates: 6, 7 G's, 13,000 miles per hour, etc. that does raise a lot of questions. Perhaps, if we assume this is a space probe of some sort, it is being controlled by some larger ship that transmits its power and kinetic energy, eg. like a tractor beam or some strong magnetic force. Or, if it is truly otherworldly, it could even be something observing us from outside our 3-dimensions, of which we perhaps would only be able to perceive, a tic-tac.

The way the pilots describe themselves trying to rationalize what they're seeing made it seem so synonymous with one of those spy-in-the-wild documentaries. You see animals for instance get totally blinkered when they spot camera equipment sometimes because they have no idea how to categorize it.

Clip in the first video above was shown to be a helium balloon and parallax making it appear its going much faster than it is. Other ones I think were I think actually thermal cameras - so show heat signatures rather than an actual black object - still unknown what it was though.

Bit of both. The actual object moved the IR cameras were able to tag on to it's infrared signature and track it that way, so the reticle tracks its movement. Not a difficult software trick either, basic machine-learning, the system is told by the operator to follow the silhouette, the software just processes the basic image on screen. You can see a dot/X with the reticle that looks like the software approximating the geometric center of the silhouette every couple seconds before a signal is given to the camera actuators to update position.

While it does make some sense for next gen air superiority to have a scout plane and arsenal planes or launchers, no configuration of conventional flight systems could explain the behavior seen. 6-7 G's in an instant, 13,000 MPH top speeds in low atmosphere. The speed record of the SR-71, publicly, is 2,193 MPH. 13 kMPH is near orbital velocity, ISS orbits at 17136 MPH. These craft can seemingly attain those speeds in an instant with no visible propulsion or emissions, or friction effects from air such as shockwaves and heat. This is what would make me wonder if these objects were peering in from outside our understanding of 3 dimensions.

What's annoying me about the whole thing is, they're speaking about UFOs as if they just appeared out of nowhere one day in 2004, for the first time ever. All previous stuff is ignored, by the MSM and the US Government etc.

Are we to believe they really have no idea what these are? They've studied them in the past - Project Blue Book etc. Though in fairness, Blue Book was established as a debunking mechanism.

But I fully believe there is life on other planets and I fully believe that there is craft out there (now confirmed) that can move beyond what we are capable of. We have seen footage of objects that if there was humans in them they would have died judging by the speed in which they have changed direction or accelerated.
