I understand that bubbly. It's been my experience too. Like all loss It's something you grieve and come to terms with in your own way. Life can change so quick and good things can appear :)

It is coming up to 6 am here too; where are you that we coincide?

Interesting! I thought we were hours apart.

Bitter, shockingly cold. Even the cats have changed their ways. They all come in at night and gather atop me abed.

You caught me Graces7 :):):) I really don’t know what time zone I’m in these days and having a watch set to Greenwich time doesn’t help :)

GOTCHA! lol... I thought it was me as I am hopeless at these things as many have seen on clock change weekends! Like the Sunday I was to attend a Craft Fair in Killarney and went out early to get to Mass in the Cathedral first.. How odd; so few folk at 8 o'clock mass and clearly it was cancelled.. Then to Tesco and then I saw a clock and pointed out at the checkout that their clock was wrong... lol...

Just back from Iceland with some goodies. Bought some of their TGI Fridays range. While I have a stash of chicken wings, their's look great. I'm on a buzz of trying to recreate fave eat out and takeaway meals. Last night I made bacon and cheese fries. Jaysus lads they were magnificent. So magnificent that I'm repeating it tonight. They put the Burger King effort to shame and are better than the empty your pockets version.

    How do I make these?

    Chips. Bacon lardons. Grated chedder/mozzarella.

Fry bacon lardons. Make chips. Melt the grated cheese in the microwave. Pour lardons on the chips and then pour the melted cheese on top. A big portion or small portion.

Chilling on the couch, TV on and taking it super easy. Work tomorrow.

Did some more art today - all in all a productive weekend! :)

OH is doing well, he’s on new meds for his stomach but the doctors weren’t able to get to the bottom of the viral infection they are sure he’d had earlier this week. More tests are to be done.

Here’s one of my creations from yesterday...

Graces7 great to see you posting on here again, I'm not on here much myself anymore as broadband can be a bit hit and miss at times, hope you are keeping well up there in the West of Ireland.

A lovely relaxing Sunday here again, we went for our early morning 3 mile walk at 8.30, home for a lovely scrambled egg and tomato breakfast, back to bed for an hour and a half of a nap, up to go outside for a bit of gardening, drive to the local village for the Sunday papers, reading the Sunday papers for the afternoon while keeping an eye on the racing from Leopardstown, which profitted me the grand sum of €12, a lovely sweet and sour chicken dinner this evening and finishing off the weekend now with a couple of bottles of Carlsburg.

Oh be reassured the 3 mile walk early this morning was the only exertion, the rest of the day was pure and simple relaxation on the couch :D

WHat a lovely message! Thank you! I hope you are well and content.

All is as well as it can be; I comes and I goes as this dratted illness and aged body allow!

The island is sheer peace. A covid free haven. I almost never go further than my gate. Live as I please! Just me and the cats. two abed with me right now; I am the meat in the cat sandwich. Bliss. Supply lines well established .

Our broadband is the best ever. A small specialist local firm called Westnet. They fix it so they can sort issues without coming over. Brilliant folk. 24/7 on a basic rate.

I lived nearby here when I was new to Ireland over 20 years ago and always yearned to return when my active work was at an end. There is no place like the West Mayo coast. Just.... heaven. And also to return to island life as I was before I came to Ireland.

Stay well and safe.. Blessings and peace
