What's with the story of the whole town/village of Sneem being vaccinated? Ordered 300 instead of 30. That's 270 used outside the guidelines not 20.
Wish it was Kilgarvan and have MHR deny he had anything to do with it.

Is it known, outside the Dept of Health and the HSE, what the estimated numbers to be vaccinated in each group are and what numbers have been vaccinated in each so far?

The decision to suspend vaccines at the Beacon hospital must be the stupidest decision yet by this Government. Who does it impact? Everybody waiting for a vaccine.
All to attempt to appease the opposition parties.
Either the CEO of the Beacon resigns, or there is no point in anything else happening.

They should get nothing from the state again.
They basically misused our national supply as if it was a royal gift

Confirmed covid cases over last year 233,937

Second doses (fully vaccinated) over the last 3 months 202,694.

Couple of days and we'll have more people vaccinated than have tested positive for the virus.

What about the overlap? these are not two separate distinct groups.
Great to see the actual % of the pop vaccinated going up. Three more months should get us there, along as we get the supply.

What's the correlation here? Cos I don't get it.

Probably to stop a mass influx of unvaccinated people when they open up and we're still in the neverending lockdown. Common travel area means if we are vaccinated and they are vaccinated it makes movement a bit easier.

what are the chances martin and varadker say no thanks Boris were good europeans and we will wait in line for our vaccines, we dont want any British vaccines we are an independent state, same way they dont want the billions from Apple tax.

IF this is true, it is a very, very clever political ploy by Boris. Offer the Irish vaccines, an EU member, and the EU can't get quite as pissed that the UK is hoarding vaccines for itself.

If true, when would we get these vaccines?

    Absolutely souper news.

I assume we will get them after the NHS get their 300M and they build the bridge between NI and Scotland.

It's kinda what Russia have been doing. Not that I'd be complaining about countries using vaccines for political reasons, as long as I can benefit!

FWIW I don’t think we will accept them if it is true

Could well be true. A Tory MP mentioned it on Claire Byrne's show recently, said Ireland would be first to be offered spare vaccines.

Amazing news if true, though of course it is all dependent on when they can be delivered.

If they're going to wait until they've vaccinated their own people first then it's little use to us, as we'll likely also have a surplus of vaccines by then.

However, if they're prepared to give them to us within the next 4-6 weeks that would be a major shot in the arm to our vaccine program, if you'll pardon the pun. :D:D

Could we really turn down a genuine offer?
