    Oh that is amazing

Got this from Japan yesterday. Prepaid €7 vat and still got stung for another €8 when I arrived. Game itself cost €18 + €8 shipping so figure that **** out

Via eBay? Send them the receipt for the VAT you paid via AnPost. (Also yay, Chrono Trigger!!)

    Nice! That's unreal.

I was gonna get the rotary phone but the one I got takes up less space and love that transparent stuff like the GBC so worked out grand.

Now my IG is showing me 00s mobile phones, eep!

Just picked up an RGB modded top loading Famicom - Be fantastic to finally have NES games outputting in RGB, best I've had is composite from my AV modded Famicom.

Also fun to pick up an old console I've never actually owned before.

Yeah I've never had a top loading NES before, Famicom or the US variant. Should sit nicely beside the SNES.

Here's the one I bought if anyone wants to nab one in future, 300 from a guy in France.

He had 7 listed and I got the last one, would say he'll probably list more at some stage.

Wow, the cover art on Panzer Dragoon is simply fantastic, I didn't know Moebius did it for them until now.

And, the question then is, why did they ditch it for the usual old nonsense for the games in Europe and the US, as well as the second title in Japan?

I only got the first two games recently, nicked fresh out of Germany. Saga I had already but it's nice to see the trio together. Great music in all of them. The moebius art is far better all right.

Picked this killer instinct from France just before Christmas but only made a box for it today. Better than it sitting in a pile of brown boxes anyway.

After trying to fix an Amstrad CPC464 with the problem I think narrowed down to the 40010 chip which can't be got :( So, what do you do? Get another machine! This is the Schneider branded CPC464, Amstrad didn't have a division to sell into the German speaking regions in Europe so they worked with this company to sell'em.

Went up north today for the pinball league and had to wait around for 30 mins. Went to b&q for a wander and spotted a bargain bin

All for the princely sum of £3. Never used an s video cable before either

I really wish more people could play Saga so I don't sound insane harping on about it people probably the best RPG of the 32-bit era.

    Let me check...

    No....

I could buy the Japanese version and play an English language version by "other methods"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,055 ✭✭✭Colonel Panic

It's one of the next in line for me, albeit via an ODE.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 53,225 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

Don't put it off. Unlike other RPGs it's all killer no filler and can be beaten in around 20 hours.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,055 ✭✭✭Colonel Panic

I'm looking forward to it! I played an hour or so during the summer to see what the fuss was about but couldn't put more time into it. I'll be starting from scratch once I clear the decks of a few other games.

In other news, I got a 220V GameCube PSU today. I've got two GCs with 100V PSUs and I'm plain sick of step-downs. I've already got that covered on one of my Dreamcasts and Saturns so this is one more step.

Next up, Nintendo Wii 220V PSU!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 729 ✭✭✭J0hnick

Its my favorite game on the Saturn, despite coming to terms with the fact that I will never own an original English copy (unless I win the lotto) and had to play a burned copy of the US version on CDR.

I wouldn't say its all killer no filler though, the Uru Underground section on disc 2 and the final dungeon on disc 4 can be a bit monotonous, so many of the rooms look the same its easy to get lost and trigger random battles with the same enemies over and over. Other then that though, its pretty much a masterpiece.

So my videogame collection has started coming out of storage now for the first time in 7 years. Having an absolute blast going through everything!

First lot of Megadrive games in. I think I've another 50-60 boxed games in the attic to add to this. Want to figure out a way of having two rows of games across rather than one long row, use the space above. Will also give me 50% of that shelf back so I can put other Sega games on it too.

Still, great to see 90 or so Megadrive games all lined up like this! I'd so many I'd completely forgotten about that it's almost like they're new again. The majority of them are complete with booklet.

Shelf above will be Nintendo. Still trying to figure out a solution for loose carts as the majority of my Snes, N64 and NES stuff isn't boxed.

The above that maybe Sony and Neo Geo. We shall see...
