Off to bed, enjoy the sneachta to those who got it. -1 here now and everywhere still wet from our rain so will be black ice central by the morning. Lovely....

Just saw late night forecast. Still chances for lots of us tomorrow. Curiously though, whoever did the graphics had tonight called Christmas Eve Night and tomorrow down as Christmas day! Gerry never noticed...

Decent coating here in south east Cavan. Snowed for about an hour. 2/3cm has fallen so naturally happy enough, hoping for a top up later tonight and in the morning

A dusting in the back garden in North Kildare. Snizzling at the moment but that should clear soon. Hopefully will get a top up in the morning to get beyond dusting status!

Some pretty decent flakes falling here, fingers crossed it won't thaw overnight so I can get out for an early walk in it!

the last two snowfalls were better than this one, you couldn't make it up. the first one I missed completely while the second one I woke up when it started turning sleety! I didn't even get a proper dusting with this one :P

Showers of sleet in West Clare since the original band of snow. Temp fluctuating between 2-3°c.

Might be a few more online tonight than usual so we may see better reporting of the overnight showers. Nice few yet to pack in.

What's the situation with this low circling precipitation back in again over the east coast? Still expected?? What's the forecast precipitation levels likely to be?

Tis woeful stuff. Complete dustings all around me in Dublin going by here but I've puddles in me garden.

You win some, you lose some.

This snow seems quite powdery for Western snow. Was out feeding the cats their bedtime hot fish supper and I said sure for sh1ts and giggles we'll throw a few snowballs. Me throw, they chase...
Quality snow, nice crunch to it.

Don't worry it's all coming back east , it's just refueling over the Irish sea. I'd expect a good fall by noon tomorrow along the east coast.
