    the new white lights near here are making this seem a lot more dramatic than it actually is, it looks marginal too to be honest. better than nothing though obviously.

    It definitely became more marginal as it crossed within 30km of the Irish sea. The slightest difference in temperature would have reverted it back to sleet/cold rain.

    the road is snow-free and the pavements are not even fully covered in my part of Dublin 5. it's very light now too.
