Seems to me that the numbers they are taking on are soo small, you'd wanna be in the top numbers on the panel to be selected.

On the other hand, many candidates would have dropped out by now as too much time has passed at this stage.

    It's all guesswork really.

A statement from the RSA or Department of transport would be helpful.

Just wondering if they'll need to begin a new recruitment campaign soon, as the current panel will only last another few months.

Although, according to the instagram page, waiting times has already fallen dramatically.

The current tester pool after the current training group is complete will be in and around 195. There was a remit to take the numbers to 200 permanent staff which means about 62 extra staff have been taken on already. There are discussions for one last training group of around 5 people to bring up the numbers. Multiple training courses have been running over the last number of months. If one last training group is required it will be in the next month or so as the last group of trainees are due to finish their training and live testing on the 29th of this month. Waiting times are getting lowers every week as the RSA offered generous overtime schemes to current staff.

Any chance there would be another competition anytime in the near future?
