Has anyone looked at Immupharma? IMM.L.

Have a lupus drug about to start a phase 3 trial and held meetings with the FDA about it in December. Lupus drugs tend to trade at a premium with very little effective treatments available.
Slightly in debt but have the cash in reserve to cover it if needed. Currently funded til end 2023.

Trading at an all time low now at 8p, with one analyst setting a PT of 100p

February was a great time for me to get interested in stocks. I'll see green some day I'm sure!

Hopefully you're DCA-ing and buying the same amount every week/month. Keep doing that, stay diversified and you'll be seeing green in no time

Cloudflare imo. The anti-DDOS and their DNS services are only going to grow in value going forward, and their tech stack and business model is pretty solid imo. They're both good companies tbh, but Cloudflare is a little more diversified (albeit smaller).

    The difference between the two?

Fastly is, in many respects, an infrastructure play. They focus on content delivery - CDN - which basically means they've a load of data centers around the world and will route a Brazillian vs. an Irish user of a website to the most appropriate 'copy' of the site (well, the assets of the site) to serve up the data quicker. They've some big clients like Reddit/Amazon. This same plethora of conveniently placed data centres also allows them to offer edge computing services - like content delivery, but for processing of data rather than just 'dumb delivery'.

Cloudflare does a fair bit of CDN too, but its mainly known for its DNS - Domain Name Server - stuff. DNS being the mapping between a websites handy address (www.boards.ie) and it's 'actual address' (http://172.67.144.191/). Because of this DNS routing ability, its basically the first line of defense against many types of volume based hacking attacks - rerouting malicious traffic to a black hole and allowing 'actual' traffic to access the site unscathed.

Tbh, you've almost certainly seen something like this accessing boards.ie at some point in the past. This is CloudFlare.

I'd also highlight the Digital Ocean IPO of recent times. Already discounted from their launch, and its a solid SME cloud/hosting play that I've good familiarity with. Very good chance of scaling up well or being acquired in a rapidly heating market.
    Thanks,

Would it be fair to say so...
    Fastly - CDN only
    Cloudflare - CDN & Security
    CrowdStrike - Security only

I'm afraid nothing is that simple in the vertically integrated world of webservices :D

Fastly - CDN & Edge Computing. Some specific focus on image optimisation and streaming video delivery. Acquired some CyberSecurity stuff - so also offer a web application firewall and Denial-Of-Service mitigation as part of their stack. Built on Varnish so HTTP focused protocol wise.

Cloudflare - CDN as well, but more of a heavy focus on its role as a Dynamic DNS service and is famous for its Denial-Of-Service mitigation. Big focus on zero-trust approaches to web security for enterprise and consumers. More recent focus on serverless computing services (which will be a big thing going forward) and most recent news indicates a move into 'serverless' hosting using Jamstack.

Crowdstrike - One I'm least familiar with but my understanding is that it's more like a CyberSecurity consultancy than anything else. Focus on Cyber Intelligence and Investigation after-the-fact. Service offerings mostly 3rd Party integrations - CloudFlare being one such partner.

The two private companies going public in the future that are really worth keeping an eye on in this space are

    Cellebrite
    https://www.cellebrite.com/en/home/

    Laceworks
    https://www.lacework.com/

The two SPACs worth keeping an eye on

    SCVX (due to announce)

    NDAC (and its associated VC)

Nio down 8% Pre market due to temporarily suspending production cause of chip shortages. Good time to get in I feel, for those who missed the boat on this.

Just been reading that WeWork are going public in a merger with BowX SPAC - so that's another missed opp surely for PSTH...

Beginning to wonder what really is left for PSTH to take onboard!

Was never in contention for PSTH tbh. WeWork is a wet fish even SoftBank couldn't contend with as an IPO, and it's rent obligations were more than its previous (bonkers) valuation. All sorts of dodgy tax stuff in the UK as well, and a business model that was just burning through runway. Honestly think it's the biggest 'wool over the eyes' play of those conflating real estate/tech as a beneficial intersectional punt.

Yeah, but they had a shake up at the top, serious hitters in and the model they were looking at - will certainly resonate now I think more than ever... no company is going to ram their "central" offices with people any time soon! WeWork will benefit from this! Plus they have shed lots of cost out of the business too

TRR.L looks like an interesting play to get exposure to commodities.

A mining royalty that IPO'd last June, up 80% since then.
Expanded considerably since IPO where they had one royalty to eight now, including 60% ownership of Thacker Pass which is the biggest lithium mine in the US.
Sounds like they plan to get equal exposure across all mining materials, currently with gold, copper, lithium and iron with plans to continue to expand.

Whats going on with GAN? Collapsing today

This week has gone up and down for me like a yoyo. Hopefully Q2 is more settled but I doubt it lol.

U (Unity) has come into a buy area for me - same as QS. Next will nab them along with some SKLZ. And will beef up my C36 and 6F6 holdings.

    Another horrific day.

    As Jeff Bezos said:
Look, when the stock is up 30 percent in a month, don't feel 30 percent smarter. Because when the stock is down 30 percent in a month, it's not going to feel so good to feel 30 percent dumber.

I am guilty of feeling smart earlier this year

TUI, IAG, NCLH, RR, AAL and couple of small caps MESA and TGI

currently Green stocks are out of favour, but when the dust settles i'm positive they'll pick-up again, but the rise could be tad slower compared to last year.

I'm in NIO already, so picked up some of LI (kinda diversification for the sake of it :D)

when the green energy bill is signed and grants are announced there will be a momentum. There has to be given the requirement for companies to become net zero carbon ASAP. But like everything there will be winners and losers in the race too.

Just spotted this after the close, but will definitely look to add in this range, they were a company and industry I had my eye one at IPO but hadn't followed, can't believe they've fallen that much. They were priced at $42 and opened at $100, think their IPO was the same week as ABNB or Snowflake or something, I remember they were overshadowed.

I'll buy some of them Monday hopefully.

I'm in a few miners. Lithium, Copper, rare earths. They have had a great run over last few months....JP Morgan issued a warning recently, that they are frothy now though. Soo proceed with caution.

I’m like 75% genomics and bio tech, got a small reprieve before close.

Indeed, a big fall but this sector has been hammered recently..... what sticks out for me is lots of company insiders selling big chunks of shares. Maybe that's just coincidental, but with a loss making company its a red flag for this investor

But then again, Marker Theraputics (NASDAQ: MRKR) has had strong insider buying ....soo I jumped in there Thursday. I'm only down about 10% soo far (sigh)

Obviously a hard one to predict but I like the sound of TRR's plan going forward.
Thacker pass should be a nice investment for them with the coming push for EV. They're quite overweight in lithium as a result (~50% of their portfolio) but that should balance out over time.

Nice talk here by the CEO

LMND, NET, IPOF, BABA have been killing me the last few weeks.

I was up 150% on LMND at one stage, now just up 30%.

    I'm down 25% on IPOF

Down 10% on BABA of which it's about 25% of my portfolio.

BRK.B is carrying me. Up 22% on about 25% of my portfolio

Luckily I bought some shares last year too. bought 20 shares of Southwest Airlines around June/July and am up 90% on a small number. Also a real estate services company too, up 80% on a small sum.

I also got fierce lucky a few weeks ago. I decided to buy RKT at around 22/23 for a long term hold. Then somehow there was talk of a short squeeze and it went up like 100% so I decided to sell. I made about 85% profit in a couple of days.
