It will be up to Government to make restriction decisions in the months ahead... interesting choice of words

The phrase additional measures worries me in relation to hospitality

Just dropped off my kids to football training (outdoors) and I noticed nearly all the parents putting on face masks as they got out of their cars and headed for the "socially distanced" touchline

I have my face mask in my pocket for when I go into shops and the like, but outdoors?

    What's that about

Maybe there's a new directive that I missed?
Busy outdoor locations from Dec 1. Some people have a habit already.

It’s been in the papers and radio all day. Even RTE news told us before his speech what was gonna happen.

Find a new line. That one's worn thin at this stage.

What’s the point of this speech.

All of this has been leaked already.

No one knows he is the Taoiseach, he needs to get it out there.

CSO stats mentioned on RTE, saying people feel very low.

I wonder did Tony and NPHET take that into consideration with their recommendations?

Bedtime stories with Michael, has he been on the John Jameson this afternoon?

He can **** off with his mask outdoors carry on. I'm not doing it.

He has given the justification for not opening wet pubs on the data not being available to justify it.

If wearing masks is needed outside then give the evidence for it.

Maybe there's a new directive that I missed? PS the kids aren't wearing masks.

In fairness I think it's for busy streets which are going to be jammed over Christmas you could see how it could spread if there is alot of people all close together....

Unlikely, it's not their remit. This looks like a big pot stir by government.

Our Taoiseach has just said over 3,000 people have died of covid on our island.

The on our island line drives me mental

We don't count covid numbers on the island so why mention deaths?

If NPHET were doing their job there would be no need for a lockdown. Instead they have no idea what they are doing, no idea what is going on and the only solution is to lock everyone away because we don't have the resources in the HSE to treat people in normal circumstances anyway.

A joke of a country and anyone cheerleading these measures should be made to pay the cost.
