Santy once gave me a fab chemistry set with methanol for de Bunsen burner, and lots of poisonous chemicals, decades before the days of health & safety. Great fun.

Used to play with Mercury on a spoon we g out from the science lab. Fascinated me as it looked like a ball bearing put ran around like liquid, and soft to touch.I’m not dead yet.

    "We went to birkenhead".

That was the closest to getting head Jimmie got.

Wait a minute, 70 years ago was 1950. The war finished 5 years before that.

    The numbers aren't adding up.

I've stopped listening, I'm listening to that Scooter song now.....lol. Makes more sense than Mr. Duffy.

    Some great lyrics:
    We don't give a penny,
    F*ck 2020.

    :pac:

    Update for more lyrics:
    Stuck on the wrong channel,
Like being chained to a dead camel.

So it was National Service - Joe - not WW.II. If there's a way to confuse a story Joe'ss your man. A bit of death thrown in. Some helicopter if it could get from Ascension Island to the USA.
