    It does apparently

    There you go.
In the rush to get out all sorts of concoctions, the use of methanol was apparently given the nod by some 'elf authorities.
Methanol is nasty stuff if you wash your hands in it every day. It will get absorbed through the skin and cause nerve damage eventually.

Lots of places must be using methanol, almost all places I have used their hand sanitizer my hands are like they had acid burns after. I now have my own stock of it so to speak, never any issues.

Santy once gave me a fab chemistry set with methanol for de Bunsen burner, and lots of poisonous chemicals, decades before the days of health & safety. Great fun.

Yesterday: Covid19 rampant in nursing homes = bad
Today: People not allowed into nursing homes = bad

    I'm confused

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,065 ✭✭✭✭Odyssey 2005

Why are these idiots complaining. If their loved ones got CV 19 they'd be on screaming about that too

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

We can’t have it both ways. Either we allow visitors in nursing homes with the consequent risk or we ban visitors and try to keep Covid out.
    There is no right answer.
