    It's unashamedly 1980's

Brilliant. I have a lot of Miami Vice-related records and CDs. The CD of that first album is one of the best-sounding discs ever.

The second volume is even better in terms of track selection.

    And bang up to date………….

This could be Texas English Teacher

Debut album from this Leeds band. Pretty good on first hearing.

    Phantoma by Unleash the Archers

New album, sounds more synthy and has more of an eighties vibe than their last one, like it after one listen.

Got a couple of new compilations today.
Had a listen to this. Some great tracks on it.

That's a great comp. I bought the vinyl and 4CD versions of it.

The Now Yearbook series is highly recommended. They've done a good few years so far from 1970s to 1990s. 3LP - all coloured, 4CD Limited or 4CD standard. And 3CD Extra sets for each year too.

Yeah, It really is a good varied album,
I also bought Now 40 years, another excellent compilation.

    More on topic.
Rolling back the years today and laying back.

Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath

Up there with the best metal albums ever released, hard to believe Ronnie James Dio is dead 14 years.

    Reckoning - REM (1984)

Have taken to grabbing a random CD for the journey to work each morning as radio is s***e. Wished I'd had this before I saw them in '85.

1991 comp for €5 - some tunes on it that apparently used to get played in The Haçienda

    Villagers - Darling Arithmetic

    JJ Cale - 'Really'

His second album but the first I've gotten to know. It's short, and so are a few of the other early ones so I'll be an expert on him in no time…

    The Doors - L.A. Woman

    The Spell by Cellar Darling.

    Prog metal masterpiece.

    Protobaby - 'Twisted Words'

Their third album, from 2020. Watched a stream they did to launch it as well, v. good sound quality and guitarist Tony Monahan used only five different guitars.
