If you want a lockdown then have one, just stay home. A lot of the rest of us are done with them and not before time. Thankfully very very few people are dying with let alone of Covid.

    This a 1000 times....

Covid-19 study on mask-wearing efficacy rejected by journals as no one is ‘brave’ enough to publish results – Danish researchers

You will not get people to rethink masks at this stage, the evidence even before that study showed no benefit when mandated for the general population, all evidence pointed to them increasing transmission. That evidence was presented to our covid response committee but ignored and even dismissed by Professor Nolan.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results but I'm pretty sure of the results from the previous but limited studies.

I’m not sure how the fines actually work but I assume like everything else in this country that it doesn’t work well.

I got a fine from Irish rail before and I appealed. Took 4 months to process my appeal and have the fine binned.

Silly waste of time. These fines won’t stand up in court.

They have already stood up in court with people fined in court from breaches in the last lockdown.

They will turn you, this is not advice like the don’t leave your county this is law.

Look at the person who ended up in court for going fishing in the last lockdown as he refused to go home.

Nox you have zero credibility pontificating about the law. You’re a drink driving hypocrite of the highest order.

What law is broken when driving under the limit?

Funny how people keep coming back to this rubbish as a come back as they have nothing else. These laws are meaningless when compared to covid. I have no issue breaking certain rules but covid is a different animal and the laws need to be fully respected and enforced.

I think public trust has taken a huge hit especially after their vote yesterday. Will be interesting to see the buy-in now.

Pat Kenny: “later on, long covid, even a tiny amount of Covid could have devastating long term effects”

Ramp it up lads, ramp it up. We’re losing them!

I always thought he was a fine broadcaster. But he's coming across a bit looney now everyday. Giving out about teens coming home from school without masks on outside. It's like a comedy show.
Do they not realise it yet? Cos the cat is out of the bag. Nphet, government and mainstream media thinking we are all idiots!

oddly i agree with you - harping on about your drink driving continually is a lame argument.

you've filled boards with enough lies and utter eye bleeding nonsense the last few months to fill an encyclopedia plenty other stuff to choose from

    especially the outright lies.

That is very clear. It is a low thing to abuse others, call them a disgrace and demand they be locked up when you yourself happily ignore the rules and restrictions whenever it suits you. There are few things worse than a hypocrite.

I have been travelling up and down from Kildare to Dublin to see my girlfriend since the lockdown started. I have only come across one check point and that is the one situated at the Blackchurch Inn on the N7 southbound where they cant turn you around. I will continue travelling up and down. I am an essential worker who works in Dublin so i use work as an excuse to travel when i am not working. Them letters from your employers come in handy ;)

I have broken no covid restrictions. I can only think you have severe reading and comprehension issues in that you are unable to read and acknowledge the fact I have given you strong and valid exemptions for any of your accused rule breaches.

Its probably the same issue with understanding that has you thinking a person in hospital (non-covid) is not allowed at least one family member to visit when you have heard from a number of sources that its not the case.

Non-covid laws are not up for debate here we are discussing covid only.

The poster said he would tell the truth that his journey was not exempt, in this instance I can't see any outcome but being turned around if the Guard is even half doing their job.

We live in a world where a Teacher can have more in their class than at their funeral or wedding. I don't blame them for kicking up.

Schools should have been closed weeks ago, they should be refusing to teach.

Yeah usually have no time for teachers, sorry correctors in most cases, but they have been thrown into a pseudo expirement since September and have surprisingly not complained much.

State run media have done a good job keeping the noise down

Covid has proved one thing for sure and its state/fake news/propaganda is very much a real thing not a conspiracy like I thought anyway

When this all over crowds like RTE etc are going to die a slow death from the rubbish they have spouted as factual news

On what basis, they don't close in flu season so why now. From the HSE's data we have , 4 under 12's die from the flu every year. We have nobody dead under 12 from Covid.
This isn't as deadly as your being lead to believe... certainly not deadly enough to have any lockdowns or mandates.

while what you say is true, if the teachers were on PUP should the schools close , the whinging would drop to a whisper.

it's easy to kick off when you know your cash is secure.

Because it’s increasing the spread of the virus, kids are bringing it home to parents and grandparents, kids could spread it in other places, teachers are at risk if vulnerable themselves or brining it home to elderly or vulnerable people etc etc.

Schools aren’t baby sitting services, who looked after her in the first lockdown or who will look after her during midterm?

If you ( or/and) her live alone it won’t be a problem. You can have her in your social bubble.

You're a hypocritical fraud, your posts are ludicrous, you have no credibility. Anyone who endorses drink-driving, (under the limit or not, who cares - its still wrong) has something very fundamental missing in their moral compass. I know people who've been impacted in the most horrific way possible by your frankly outrageous attitudes to drinking/driving.

I really can't work out why you're on here day in day out anyway when everyone is essentially laughing at you. Haven't you anything better or more productive to do?

Says the lad replying to me . I just have boards and other non-work stuff open while I’m working on a second screen so I am actually always working away being productive and just keep an eye on boards also among other sites (Twitter, news, sport, YouTube) etc on the second screen.

As for laughing at me, no one is laughing at me that’s for sure.

I'd say your employer is getting great value for money.

P.S. I'm on a day off. Not wasting my employer's time.
