****e thing to do. But our politicians don't need more protection ffs. That will cost more money. Give up the one of the seven pensions and use that money to protect yourselves.

NeoLiberals will always choose the fascists over the economic left. The western worlds politics is transforming into a repeat of the 1930's.

Ffs ol gill I’ve just said I am not referring to him being bullied out of it

I am saying maybe in a quiet moment he will sit down and realize how despised and hated he is in Irish society and depart the political stage

Lol. You’re a very angry person aren’t you. He’s not hated at all. Gets voted in every time in local office and has been the leader of the country.

Ultimately I don’t give a hoot about him tbh but people’s attitude on here is hilarious

Far right groups hate gay marriage, immigration, free trade,EU membership. They arent going to be allies of FG anytime soon. FG are one of the most pro EU parties in Europe.

Rising public debt is just another boggy man bollocks, private debt has caused most of our crashes, as we just experienced last time, yet again!

Sorry you are right, not just the mental property prices, the younger generation will mainly foot the bill for the last crash and this one...

Obviously incapable of educated rational argument so she has to resort to assault.

    Shame on her.

Yup, and if we don’t crack on with ignoring the national debt, they really are gonna end up fcuked!

Far right groups aren't consistently anything - except perhaps anti-immigrant - their stated positons will shift to whatever gets them support. Sure even the Nazi's incorporated the term 'socialist' into their parties name, to co-opt left-leaning folk.

What is the "economic left" ?

If anything the left (eg. Sinn Fein) just keep demanding free money and houses... nothing economic about the left at all.
If the entire society was made up of "the left", we'd all be queuing up at soup kitchens.

Where was the security? Could have had a knife...

His security are the Gardai, or should be. Here we have the deputy head of the state giving an interview in a public place, a person walks up to him from a distance, with something in her hand. There are approximately 14 seconds from the start of the video until the assault. She is walking directly and deliberately for him from second 1 to 14. Not one single person from the time the scumbag enters the film on the left until the assault occurs attempts to prevent the assault. Nobody at least on camera is attempting to prevent her escape.

If it was acid, if she had a knife ? Yep, I detest the guy as a politician but that’s bollocks.

Who makes the call on security for political people at this level. ? Gardai, politicians themselves ? Needs to be a situation where politicians have zero say unless it’s to increase their protection but they should be of no ability to decrease it.... they have been elected to do a job FOR the people of the country...they need to get with the program and provide themselves and in turn the people of this country with a safe environment in which to do this work.

She had a knife, Leo is dead... no debate about that...this fûcking jokeshop Garda mob and certainly Leo too need to up their game... the psychology of life at present means a danger to him and anybody holding that office is at its highest since the troubles....need to be careful.

Why are companies trying to source staff in South Africa?

Germany are much better at training people and they admit its a huge problem.

Up to three quarters of Germany’s refugees will still be unemployed in five years’ time, according to a government minister, in a stark admission of the challenges the country faces in integrating its huge migrant population.

I would love to know what that coward said to your man in the black jacket before doing it and why did he not run after her. If he was Leo's security or part of it then he was useless and lazy and should be sacked.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Funny that, the more economically conservative thinkers seem to think it's just fine for banks to create money freely, then sell it to us as credit!

He’s no saint. That said he’s no worse than the shower who went before him and probably ten times more intelligent. But then again that wouldn’t be hard really.

Because they can't source the workers here, and south Africans might work for cheaper

Lovely rant blaming the Gardai even though you Admit you don't know if they are responsible for his security in the first place or if Leo can refuse to accept.

He looks like a director or producer or something. Still, I’d not be standing there either like him and his mates looking like they'd just missed a flight to Alicante.

Debta have to be serviced. That costs money so we have to pay higher taxes which means less money in the private sector,

Gardai ARE responsible, read my post again. Better still, do some research.

If I was Leo in that situation I would have ran after her and pinned her down until the guards arrived, no way would I let some scumbag do that to me, the cheek of her.
