Those are the kind of people that will seek to ban any public activity that may trigger another person with a disability that prevents them from engaging, i.e. ban running in parks as it may trigger people that are unable to run.

The state of the second "point of privilege" guy. What the hell is he wearing? And you can hear the fat in his voice which is kind of funny. :o

The narcissism of the first "point of privilege" guy to get up in front of the crowd a second time to admonish them.

Are we sure this video isn't a parody?

Unfortunately its not, search "democratic socialists of america conference 2019" on youtube, they have videos on the official site - https://www.dsausa.org/2019-convention-a-world-to-win/

How could anything ever be accomplished with the restrictions being imposed there?, its laughable but scary that this is what the world is embracing and corporations are loving it as they get to sell more woke crap( hollywood movies, computer games etc. ).

I love that clip. The poor woman seems completely drained by these mouth-breathers.
    The constant whining.
    The jazz hands.
    The pronouns.
    :D

Having re-watched comrade Cecily Mayart Cruz wish a good evening to her

" sisters, brothers and non binary siblings "

I feel distinctly touched and included in her speech.

Councillors hoping to bring 'rainbow crossing' to West Cork town .... and what's the purpose of doing this, besides being a waste of resources that could no doubt be utilised in areas of west cork in need - and of course its text book virtue signalling.

Shortly after this, the horses were put on diversity and unconscious bias training

I actually think the rainbow crossing is a nice concept. Brighten up the place for sure.

I trust they have made the necessary adjustments to the safe cross code?

But they're excluding the blind! How will they know if people are responding positively or negatively?!? ;)

It is the disenfranchising of the visually challenged.

The Isle of Man is to be changed to "The Isle of Person" as it's sexist and discriminates against gender fluid non binary and/or LGBT+ people.

I was pulled up years ago on the use of 'person'. It should be person/perdaughter as 'person' is sexist. This was long before the whole gender issue of the past few years, so god knows what it is now.

It's not really useful in low light or at night from a safety point of view. A bit childish really.

My cynical mind is telling me they decided to put it in an inappropriate place to get a negative reaction and then claim the neg reaction indicates homophobia and that's why flags are needed in the place. I think the same sorta thing in relation to other issues too actually.

That’s a fair point but they could put a white band each side of the rainbow. They probably would if somebody suggested it.

They would need to be white bands all the way through or else the thing would look like various bands of grey in low light or next to invisible at night. Street lighting isn't everywhere or may not work everywhere and people don't turn their headlights on when they should very often. There's a reason for standards and contrasting colours in road markings.

The good councillor has obviously forgette we get ****ty weather in this country and a phenomenon known as "night".

but then they'll be oppressed by the sis white males and feel trapped by the white band on either side which symbolically represents them .........

Instead using that high grip material they should do it slippery and oily, so the tyres won't grip and they won't leave any mark.
Of course the safety issue will be a very small price to pay, totally worth it.
