Although Paddy could argue that the Church of Ireland view themselves as both Protestant and Catholic (with a capital C and all) ... but I reckon Paddy hasn't a clue what he's talking about at this stage.

Ah right, yeah Slate was probably offensive enough but it was funny and seemed to be pretty equal opportunities in terms of who it poked fun at. Which magazine was it then?

I kind of object to this. Iv been an engineer for near 20 years now and how did being a "tech wizard" manage to become synonymous with behaving like a total bellend.

I mean I work all day with very technical people and well they are just as mannerly as any other occupation, being rude and an attention seeker just doesn't get you far with them at all.

Didn't realise tech wizards were so tetchy :)

When I mentioned his "tech wizard" persona, it was just that... the woolly jumpers, the fact that some (Rte et al) see him as some sort of authority in tech..., I wasn't referring to his behaviour or implying that tech people are bellends.

Paddy in the news again today.

”Web Summit cofounder Paddy Cosgrave is facing fresh legal action after a former employee filed a defamation case against him.”

There seems to be a pattern forming.

Another thread started by the great Johnny Flash RIP....

    To answer his initial question...

    YES....

No, you’re right, he seems to live on in your head “rent free”, H.

Bekind E. It is “what” JF would have wanted.

Don’t think there was anything unkind in that, Rodders. It’s nice that Flashy’s memory lives on.

They are conferring Paddy's Doctorate of Wankerisim (PhW^10) after his masters was handed back to him in 2020 for being too shallow and not thought provoking enough (and containing other people's work). It was finally accepted on the basis of the volume of bile put into his Twitter over the last two years, to which he has made a conscientious effort to burn all bridges with Ireland in the meantime. The level of self-edification was so much that specialists in the subject had to be recruited from afar and they commented that the readability of the work was on a par with Joyce's Ulysses and the utterances of a very wasted Brendan Behan.

Yet another export which Ireland should be proud (to see the back) of.

He's passed away alright. I can confirm. Was at the funeral. A seriously raucous event. He seemed to have built up a cast of characters from his various wheeling and dealing. A bunch of misfits and malcontents. It was a hard drinking affair. The pub in Loughrea ran out of Guinness. A fair few of his Eastern European workers turned up, and got fair rowdy. I'm not sure who paid for it but I had a tray of Guinness and never put my hand in my pocket. His eldest son told me he had made a fortune on Bitcoin so that might of had something to do with it.

Anyway, back on topic, Cosgrave and his pirate flag friends are sad bastards.

@Pintman Paddy Losty Good to see your back Paddy. I though you might have passed away like your alter ego Johnny Flash

Paddy Cosgrave is legitimately subhuman. Imagine having a chip on your shoulder for as long as he has because Fine Gael wouldn’t let him have Garda escorts for his Tech Funderland event. He’s about as much use as tits on a bull. I can’t wait for his downfall.

Would you say he's a worse human being than Alison Spittle?

Cosgrave doxxes his opponents and urges his followers to confront people in real life because of Twitter spats. He’s clearly a man who never been punched right in the **** face before.

Paddy has got himself into a spot of bother.

He is bowing down because $$$ is at stake.

Biggest wanker in Ireland- no doubt about that .

The horror stories of working for Web Summit should be enough to know that this bloke is scum. He fancies himself as a disrupter of sorts, when he is just a plonker.

Uhmm…I’d be a bit more harsh than that Francie.

The name of his personal company is.. Manders Terrace.

Not very smart - I can see it on Google maps, in Ranelagh.

He looks like one. He acts like one. I have never met him in the flesh. Although he is seemingly a good operator.

I am not sure about him being a whanker, but he could well be.

Any person offering a 10k reward to expose online opponents is however..... a complete chunt.

He is basically a chunt who seems to think that what he thinks should be reciprocated by everyone else. All chunts follow this narcissistic pattern of development.

He is also an arsehole. But Ireland has 1000's of arseholes, lots of them.

If he is not doing so already, it is only a matter of time before he starts consuming his own urine and washing himself several times a day.

I would classify him as a Borderline Sociopathic Narcissist with delusions or notions of omnipotence. I would accept descriptive terminology such as chunt, twit, spa, gobshight, twerp, painful git, arsehole or as the op mentioned Whanker. I might add that it is acceptable to prefix with He is a complete and utter ____ Líon na Bearnaí.

He is some Tulip, if he had brains he'd be dangerous. He would make a great bad guy or heal at a wrestling event attended by children and their cuckolded fathers.

Seems to crop up regularly on Boards. Different titles, but same basic concept. “Give us a list of people you dislike intensely “

Yes, complete waste of time but here we are three years + and it's as good/bad as ever.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,149 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

Good lad Count, to quote the soccer pundits you “left a bit on the lad” there.

    Well done…well done.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,297 ✭✭✭Count Dracula

    I try my best Bren.

I would have given him a wedgie in school for sure.

He suffers from being of that era when a slap of a teacher might hit the papers... and he is evidence of what happens when you don't get a few whacks of the ruler, to keep you in line.

He is an awful phuckin cretin at the end of the day. You couldn't bring him anywhere?

Oh at least, he is a cnut of the highest order. You are right though, no need to play nice on Boards. Wouldn't surprise me if he reads this though and tries to sue. He also just looks like someone you'd love to loaf as well.

That is what cnuts do anyway.
