Any advice on best use of a bench boost? Don’t think I’ve ever got it right.

This year my subs have been 1st great- 2nd poor 3rd 4.0 not playing.

I’m going to use my bench boost for double gw 19.
There will be 10 teams playing twice so there will be possible to have 15 players with two games using bench boost.

Although spurs and city have good single gws that week so it might be 12/13 double gw players and some big hitters with a nice single fixture

You need to start planning your transfers for it now!

So looking at my chips left...with blank & double game week...

GW 17 - Play Wildcard(with my transfers focused on a super strong team for GW19)

GW 18 - Play Free Hit, to field 11 players

GW 19 - Already have a team set up for this gameweek...Play bench boost

Its very risky i know, to play 3 outta 4 chips in such a sort time, but if i manage to get my selections correct i could really make hay

Are you referring to playing your first or second wildcard in gw 17?

Ah no worries I was just checking it wasn't the first and you let it run out in gw 16. Some might get caught out with that this season.

Is there no way you can prep for gw 19 with transfers? And hold off on wildcard. I played my first one gw 5 but with the second one I’ll try hold off til maybe gw 26 or a little later

Fair enough there’s no right or wrong answer, it all depends on your team.
Mine is below and I can get it to 11 dgw players with 3 transfers (2.2 mill in the bank) and play bench boost. Will Free hit for gw 18

Martinez - SGW (want to keep long term)
Forster - Fodder. Will transfer to Johnstone

Dias - SGW (good fixture)
Cancelo - SGW (will transfer to Coufal / Zouma)
Robertson - DGW
KWP - DGW
Taylor - DGW

Salah - DGW
Bruno - DGW
Soucek - DGW
Son - SGW (good fixture)
Grealish - SGW (want to keep long term)

DCL - SGW (might try switch to Vardy but he might be just out of reach, could be Ings if he’s back fit. Or maybe a punt on Cavani/Martial/Werner)

Think the last few years they’ve spread it out as much as possible. A GW from 26th and 27th, another for 28th, 29th, 30th, and then another dragging into the Tuesday after we’re back in work

It's an option.

Another option is to get as many DGW players as possible without using your WC, FH in 18, BB in 19 and keep your WC for next DGW/BGW.

It's a popular choice. Though many would have been using their transfers for GW19 rather than burning the wildcard. But it also depends. How many players do you have for GW18 and with doubles in GW19.

I’m hoping to free hit for the 5 games . then the week after bench boost fir dgw. Will save wildcard because probably another dgw towards the end of the season
