Work time again, 9hours and 2 minutes in the hotel, our absolute legal minimum :)

Have 7 flight attendants coming with us as passengers going home for their first days off in 4 months, for some of them the first time outside that hotel in 4 months. I’m just wondering how people who have never left a hotel need so much bloody baggage, they must have 50 KGS each :)

I always meant to ask you about the Covid testing since by now your an expert. Is it very painful?

Not long home. Saw a dog on the side of the road on the way back but couldn't stop on that stretch. Had to turn around in my own driveway and go back but we couldn't find him. Home now and exhausted. Had a lovely evening with the family.

I just took this picture of my dog sitting on a stool at the island and I think she looks so funny. The room behind her was in darkness and I just darkened out the few bits that were lit up like a bright white blanket. I dunno why really but I just got a laugh out of her big goofy head in the darkness, looking at me like.. 'I'm sitting in the human chair, give me the human food!!'

That's a super shot, worked out perfectly with the background.
I love how his nose looks really wet or something. He has a very distinctive nose.
So many stories about dogs being swiped lately, please mind him. I don't have a dog and I think if I did, I'd be in an awful fear at the moment.
I just was outside trying to spot the comet. I could see every other star bar the comet.
    Oh well.

I like your cat Kowloon. We had a cat come stay with us during lockdown, it was the first time I'd had a pet cat in the house. All our cats as kids were feral.

They're surprisingly playful, not nearly as aloof as people say. More dog propaganda I suppose.

@i am nobody, I guess that I have a big nose as I don’t find it uncomfortable, some of my colleagues do complain about it but I haven’t seen anyone actually refuse to do it.

Chilled out on the sofa listening to Death In Vegas on Spotify and typing this on my tablet.

Heading over to the OH’s place later on for a couple of days. He has a surgical procedure tomorrow where he will be under general anasthetic so I will be bringing him to, and collecting him from, the hospital. We are both a little anxious about it but it should be fine.

Now...to read a bit of the book I’m on at the moment, do a bit of messing around with my art or a quick walk in the park? Decisions, decisions...

Yeah it is a scary time for us dog owners alright. My dogs are barely out of my sight and we have cameras and stuff but you'd be anxious leaving them for any amount of time these days all the same. Fortunately they rarely leave my side and when I'm not around usually my partner is so we're a tag team. I'd wouldn't be able to cope if anything like that happened them. Genuinely I'd have a breakdown. I have an app on my phone to watch them on the cameras as well and it's brilliant. I'm in the shop or something and I'm able to have a quick peek and make sure everyone's ok! :D

Inside all the time. Well sometimes I take them out with me in my arms but honestly they hate it. One of them I had since he was only a few weeks old and at the time we lived in a top floor apartment and there was lots of not cat friendly off lead dogs that used to hang around the green outside so we had to keep him in. We were in the process of buying our house so we figured he'd be able to be outdoors then but he just never showed an interest really. He went out a couple times but always just wanted right back in.

Our other cat came from a hoarding situation where he was locked in a shed all his life and he's actually terrified of the outdoors. I carry him out and he freaks. So we left them as indoor.

A stray adopted us a couple of years back so we set up a house for him outside. He spent a summer with us and we adored him and then he got hit by a car and I was heartbroken so I was more sure than ever to keep the others inside and safe. They're very very fufilled and happy. Healthy and thriving.

Nonetheless, we do have plans to build an enriching outdoor enclosure for them and then we'll slowly see if they'll habituate to it. We have plenty of land here to make it really big and fill it with all sorts so .. it's worth seeing. I know they're very happy but I hate the thought they're missing out on anything. I'd only be putting them out there for a couple hours a day anyways.. with the added bonus they might do their business out there because I do hate cleaning out the litters! :D:D sorry that was very long winded. Here's photos as an apology! :D

How do you cops with the cat hairs?

How do you cops with the cat hairs?

They don't shed much. We groom them and we give them oils for their coats. My husky mix and retriever shed like mad so we have an autonomous hoover that keeps hairs in check and then obviously we hoover with the regular vacuum ourselves regularly too. But the robo vacuum is fantastic for keeping it all under control. We have no big issues with hairs. Actually the greatest thing I ever learned on boards, I think from Tk123 over in animal and pet issues was to use rubber gloves on fabric like sofas and in the car. Like just your classic marigolds. Pulls the hairs right out, easy as pie. It's like magic!!!

Aww Buile and Kowloon, lovely dog and cat photos, they make me smile :)

On the couch watching Game of Thrones. I'm going to see my ex and my cat on Thursday and I can't wait to see my little man, I haven't seen him since November. I hope he won't sulk with me but I'll bring lots of treats :p

You all have the most adorable pets!

Jupiter, I hope surgery goes well for your oh and he recovers quickly, it's always a daunting prospect.

What a day, grass is cut, cooling down with a sneaky beer and then I'm heading back out to potter and chill in the sun.

Oh, and Sephers, swit swoo on the hair! :p

Sitting at the top of the Slieve Bloom mountains, We're eating warm roast beef sandwiches as the beef is not that long out of the oven. I'm supping on a carton of milk. Mrs G has a flask of tea. Ms G has a 7-Up. It's so peaceful up here. We brought an Apple Pie for dessert. A short walk to follow.

I haven't tried it, but I've heard of people using it for pain relief and mood stability. Do your research and ensure it's from a reputable supplier.

A lot of people don't realise that you don't get high from it so can be a bit funny about it.
