Even the last part isn't in play. Humans alone among the great apes have swollen breasts all the time. In other apes they're only swollen when pregnant or breast feeding, so not or sub fertile. So to a chimp big boobs would turn him off.

I know a lot of male gymnasts and they tend to be on the shorter side - 5'5, 5'6 some even shorter (I know one guy who's 5'1!). They never seem to have a problem finding a girlfriend. Some even have girlfriends or wives who are noticeably taller than they are.

Maybe it's the athleticism. Or maybe it the confidence that comes with embracing yourself and making the most of what you've been given. instead of complaining that they were too short for football or basketball, they did gymnastics. Instead of complaining about girls who had height preferences, they chased the ones who didn't care about short or tall.

Height matters most on the apps because everything matters on the apps. You're shopping for humans like you'd shop for a pizza. Why not select "6 foot and over" from the drop down list of things you can choose from, when there's a sea of faces to swipe through.

In real life, I'm sure there's a bias towards taller men - just like there is with men towards for example younger women - but it's less "deal breaker". More, tend to like them a bit taller than me. Couldn't tell ya what height any of my exes were, it never came into it. Went from a few inches taller to half a foot taller I'd say. You grow out of that laundry list shyte when you're a bit older and less into the dating app merry-go-round where everyone has a laundry list of requirements.

Also, in evolutionary terms women aren’t that fussy as to how they get the top dogs sperm. With us lads we worry about who the daddy is. Women know they are the mammy. Obviously.

It's not for how we would look for the height gap etc, it's more to do with any type of physical intimacy being awkward.

Right... but you’re not going to suddenly stop having a preference simply because somebody says that your preference is an immutable thing, unlike weight.

People like what they like. Personally I was never that hung up on men being tall but lots of women do like tall men and they’re under no obligation to change their preferences. Dating is discriminatory by its very nature. Life isn’t fair in many ways. If I was single tomorrow, I’d be at the bottom of the dating barrel because I have terminal cancer. It wouldn’t be fair on me but I would in no way judge any man for saying “No thanks!”. I doubt you’d judge any guy for baulking on entering a relationship with me.

Don’t want to kill the thread stone dead. Just saying, life can be pretty unfair but you just have to get on with it. Yeah, lots of women like tall men but there are plenty, like me, who aren’t that bothered about it. And nobody is wrong to like what they like. I did end up with a tall man but that’s just how it turned out. Lots of short men do well for themselves because they highlight their good points.
