    Outright cancelled so far:
    John Prine

...this one definitely won't be rescheduled.

Gigs '24 - Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball (Gomez), The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Smashing Pumpkins/Weezer, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Stendhal Festival, Forest Fest, Electric Picnic, Ride, PJ Harvey, Pixies, Public Service Broadcasting, Therapy?, IDLES(x2)

Yeah meant to be going to Bon Iver's rescheduled gig in January, dunno about crowds and social distancing by then. And even if it could go ahead with social distancing would be reduced capacity so even if it was worth their while would probably have to cancel and resell again so may not be worth it.

Will ticket master refund for gun's n rose's anytime soon. Can't see how a big group like them can reschedule Willy nilly.

You would be hopeful of the virus ****ing off or the world getting it under control by early 2021 and we can see a return of large scale social gatherings

Will be detrimental for the industry if social distance remains into 2021

Your delusional if you think live music will return anytime soon. Until a cure is found, forget about it.

There's a festival happening in the north in August.

you're aware they may never be a cure right? This could well end up like the common cold and just be something we all have to live with going forward

Live events needs to return at some point

Definitely not but I still think gigs might be one of last things to come back especially if social distancing is around. Might not be viable for a lot of gigs but hopefully by next year might see steady return to more gigs all going well

Has anyone gotten a refund from ticketmaster on a gig that has been rescheduled or know if it is possible to get one?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,196 ✭✭✭maximoose

Yes, been refunded for many orders now

    https://help.ticketmaster.ie/hc/en-ie/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000117353

Just select Refund/exchange - put in the order details, in the question section say you want a refund as the rescheduled date doesnt suit and submit

Thanks, I did send a request in a few months ago for one of the first reschudled gigs using that think i think but didnt hear anything back will try again and hope they dont say its too late for a refund now.

In the short term, true. I can't see much happening this side of 2020 depending on how the next couple of months go with the "second wave" etc.

But I can see it picking up in H1 2021 fairly quickly. We'll adapt, rigorous testing + improved contact tracing and additional measures. Wouldn't be crazy to suggest that every concert attendee wears a mask :)

The economy won't wait for a cure.

I would gladly wear a mask if it's part if the conditions to go to a gig or cinema etc. Very small price to play. I agree mostly but think public health will mean large gatherings are last thing to come back. Guess longer they don't hopefully closer to a vaccine if one can be made but agree its unlikely can wait all that time. Finding the balance is the tricky bit.

No, that's for what used to be standard tickets.

1: nowhere will be reopening arenas before the end of the year, socially distant indoor gigs are the best we can hope for...

2: who's going to play these gigs if they happen? No band that haven't already rescheduled would be able to risk it.

If that darts event is going ahead, there will be less than a thousand people there.

The Tf royal theatre in castlebar is opening again this weekend....George Murphy is playing. Next weekend has 2 nites of the abba sensations. No idea what the social distancing plans are. But if they can open, why not more places.
