Any gusty wind or downdrafts associated with this storm witnessed by anyone out there ?

My station was recording a NNW breeze as the band moved south of here:

I’m near Fermoy and there has been thunder and lightning for the last 10-20 minutes. Really loud, crunching, vibrating thunder. Well impressed

Plenty of nearby flashes here in East Cork, seems to have passed over now. Most notable thing is the rain, biblical and still going.

Seems to have passed over. I'm sure the neighbours dog is delighted. He can stop barking now!

Edit, spoke too soon. More thunder now.

ECM 18Z is out and continues to show widespread storms tomorrow and some quite severe.

If the charts for tomorrow verify then tonight will be just like an aperitif .

Can see that on the radar. Am near Mallow here so looks like it’s on the way.

Huge clap of thunder just shook the house here in South Tipp. Wow, never heard it as loud before.

South tipp / North Cork border, just got a hammering. Lightning once or twice a minute for what felt like ages. Really cool to hear the roar of the thunder so close.

Thought it had died off there, another wave passing again. Stuck in a tent here in North Cork. Only one of 4 awake, how I don't know.
