But there is no risk of community infection at the moment in Ireland. This was the very point the expert was making.....there is no actual risk of contracting the virus in Ireland from another Irish person as we speak (that could change at some point in the future, but it's not the case at the moment).

That's naive at best. The UK has cases of community transmission as does most of Europe. It's simply taking longer to spot here.

Huh?! Not sure I understand the attack, I got a notification to say 3 players contracted, might be time for a few people to step away from the keyboard and go for a walk
You said it was 3 Juventus players, every story I see says it was 3 players from a serie c team who have contracted it.
The Juventus u23 team had played them so they are in quarantine.
Where is the story with 3 Juventus players catching coronavirus?

Anyone seeing any shops start looking fairly bare - was in lidl in Carlow yesterday - place looked like it needed a restock in parts, is this normal or does it look like people are starting to panic?

No idea about Lidl but some shops only do a full restock once a week.
My local tesco can look like that after a busy weekend, it's not unusual.

It's a misleading headline, read the actual article and you'll see the players who contracted it are for Pianese, not Juventus.

We were in Tipp for the weekend and stopped in a supermarket in Nenagh on the way back home this afternoon for the essentials, exact same as your photos there, a lot of the shelves empty, mentioned it to the girl on the checkout till and she said definitely the last couple of days she's seen bulk buying, made me think tomorrow I'm going to go to the local supermarket to stock up
