Well then tell us otherwise a waste of time all adds to rumours...how many times did the stupid story about the hotel on Pearse street pop up here?!
If there was a ward in ireland with 12 people with Coronavirus someone wouldn't be wandering about having a nosey....
I'd say more likely if they are in hospital they saw a ward...

He did indeed but he was talking more about issuing recommendations to festival organisers. Cancelling the four day festival at such short notice would be a drastic measure (and would surely have to be accompanied by the halting of football, GAA and rugby matches, pop concerts etc.....else why single out the parade only?)

The Dublin St. Patrick's parade is a bit different to the more local events in fairness. Must be one of the largest public gatherings in the country every year + involves visitors from all over the world attending it.

It would be a very drastic step alright, and if it did happen I'm sure the other sorts of big events you list will start getting called off too when the crowds at them would exceed a certain size.

AFAIR some of the other Festival events (in Dublin) are much smaller scale so maybe they would go ahead?

Number of hospital admissions with viral pneumonia in Thailand has doubled in a week and almost no increase in confirmed number of COVID patients over the last few weeks in the country.

BREAKING: Italy reports 566 new cases of coronavirus and 5 new deaths, raising total to 1,694 cases and 34 dead

Biggest daily increase yet on a very similar track for what happened in Wuhan

Their health service is going to implode and there's going to be no outside help with everyone else fighting it also.

The woman, resident in Pamplona and who had recently returned from a trip to an area not listed as risk (Belgium), was isolated in the ER and then transferred to the ICU, where she remains also in solitary confinement. The mandatory PCR tests have tested positive for coronaviruses with other associated pathologies. Despite being the first case in the Community, the affected is in serious condition .

Spanish woman tests positive after returning from a trip to Belgium. There are many cases now popping up of people from 'unaffected areas' now becoming infected after travelling to other 'unaffected areas'. I seriously cannot believe Irish government saying that there is hardly any risk of an outbreak here, with travel to all the world open and daily, there are more and more signs that this virus is circulating all over the globe already

A number of people brought into St. James’s hospital in the last hour. Source is my sister is a nurse in A&E.

Looked to be a family, not Irish.

    This isn’t BS either.

It's strange, the people who mostly post late at nightt/early morning believe him(and also other dubious poster) and the ones posting during the day are skeptical.

Great commitment whatever the truth, uploaded a picture of his phlegm just for this moment (assume it was real, didn't click for obvious reasons).

I actually have 10% reserved for it being true, just for how ridiculous he made it after spending so long trying to sell it earnestly.

Sounds similar to the situation in Wuhan during the very early days of the outbreak. Not many tests for COVID-19 being conducted, so the official stats weren't moving but hospital admissions for pneumonia / flu like symptoms were skyrocketing.

The case in Ireland was a student who had returned from a trip to Italy so they're closing the school.
