No doubt about it. Ryan’s on a break, so why not?

Archives are so important for social history . There would be a MAJOR MAJOR gap in the history of how we once just about survived for decades up to the C. Virus until it wiped us out

Speaking of archive, the documentary on radio 1 last night was first broadcast in the 60's ;). They're getting good value outa that one ;)

I just listened back to the show where he called the hotel.

Talk about an ad for reasons NOT to invest in Ireland. From the nonsense, hysteria, and gross exaggeration spouted by the host and the Irish abroad to the comparative calmness and perspective of our European colleagues so to speak, it realy did not make us look good and dat. Mr. Duffy's contriubution could best be describer as "uninformed and irresponsible" , so to speak. I'd be pretty confident the Irish in that hotel are complaining about the lack of Barry's tea and Denny sausages so to speak.

Some unique pronuncatins as well - of course, of course:
    Rolf as Ralph
Francoise (female) as Francois (male) - you'd think with all the time he spends at Chateaux Gateaux Duffy in Bergerac he'd know the difference so to speak?
Countless variations of Tenerife and Adeje to name but a few so to speak.

It is such a sh*t show when you step back and really analyse it.

You and your PC approach to everything about LL . You are an awful nit - or should dat be cherry-picker. When will you ever realize that it’s an in-house drama - based on farce in this case. Ireland is full of dramatic societies and RTE is no exception.
I would be extremly disappointed and very upset if LL took an about turn and produced something that was BALANCED, truthful, etc etc etc etcetcetcetcetcetcetc.
LL is one of the very few experiences left in my life that I enjoy and it is FREE apart from the license fee.
LL is like Dinjo - remember him- teaching/ doing a programme of Irish dancing on the radio.Did we ever think that you could do an hour and a quarter of drama on the radio and the audience is held captive throughout - in case there are moments of Gold. It’s like watching a soccer match throughout - nil all at full time - and in the last kick of the ball , having played six and a half minutes of extra time a winning goal is scored. It was worth the ‘wait’ just experience that moment. Well, to me, LL is like that except that we are guaranteed LOADS f THOSE GOALS.
So ButterSki give up dat out nonsence

on twitter yesterday someone saying that some people just listen to liveline to complain about it, shure what other reason would you have for listening. ?

What we need at times like this are calm voices and experts armed with facts. Instead we get a rabble rousing sh*t stirrer intent on creating mass hysteria and panic amongst the elderly in particular based on his ill-informed at best and dangerous at worst “advice” formed by rumour, gossip and hearsay.

Prof John Crowne was on SOR a while ago and was certainly not very reassuring at all, stating the Covid-19 as quite dangerous and that cancer patients have to avoid it at all costs. Hype is never good, but neither is complacency.

Of course there are exceptions Cat - and anyone with an underlying illness is in that group, as are the elderly, ad anyone with any form of a respiratory condition so to speak. I was speaking for the majority so to speak.

With the vouyiris in the country now what panic & hysteria levels will we be on today.

Or will he change topic and finally discuss that half the country's under water

Glasnevin is a no go area, the voirus is so bad. Or so I am told by a friends brothers mate.

Clare has sunk beneath the depths.

But I'm sure it will be an upto date, common issue like how did albino children from Roscommon in the seventies get enough vitamin C.

But listening to Liveline, 99% of Irish people have some form of difference.

"Im gluten intolerant Joe. Is that an underlying condition?"

in fairness Prof Crowne is a health professional with an area of expertise and specialisation who would be in direct contact with people vulnerable to this whereas callers to liveline are just **** stirring & causing chaos with no professional expertise in any area. I have no doubt there are people in certain age categories who hear what Mary & Paddy public say on liveline and take it as gospel even though its just bull poo

Drove through Glasnevin this morning and I'm still alive so to speak. And last Friday, Saturday, and yesterday. WOW.

It’s not that big a majority when you take into account so many of our population in older age group, who have heart & respiratory conditions, cancer patients, and so many of our young people with inflammatory bowel disease and other autoimmune conditions who are on immune suppressive drugs. In fact, if I think of any set of 10 active & well-functioning people in my wider family 4/5 would be clearly in the at-risk category for for serious disease, including myself because of cardiac issues. A hell of a lot of us are at risk.

Séan O’Rourke got speaking to the taxi driver, who drove the Northern Ireland woman from airport to train, before Joe did. I’d say that was deliberately set up so that Joe wouldn’t make a fiasco of it, Lahvlahn being the natural home for the taxi droiving troibe.

Bingo. He's gone to an island somewhere, the virus cant get there :)

Joe’s not in today. Hmm, are him and Ryan are somewhere, in a secure and secret location, in an environment controlled room, sitting at least 2 metres apart, and are they plotting the forthcoming misery and panic opportunities of the Covid 19 virus, dividing up the potential spoils, ensuring no “stepping on one another’s toes”, and who-does-what over the next few weeks?

I could, of course, be entirely wrong!

I saw somewhere on the internet somewhere that there is a plane parked up at Dublin airport ready to take the lucky few deemed important enough to a safe location till this blows over.
