What has the irfu to answer for? That a minority of schools are giving their kids the best of coaching? This is just nonsense if you feel that it’s elitist then that’s just your feel of it. Those of us involved in the sport have said here how we don’t find it to be so, now you can take the word of people involved or you can continue with your misinformed belief.

That feeder schools to their teams are elitist and only cater for the better off on society.

Perhaps if the IRFU looked further than these institutions and actually paid more attention in middle class and working class areas then the teams would perform better.

They have better coaching because they are fee paying. The IRFU has a lot to answer for in that regard.

It is eltist. Its head scratching stuff that anyone would try to argue that Rugby at provincial level is not elitist.

What do you think the IRFU should do, ban fee paying schools? Ban people from playing if their parents earn more than 100,000 a year? That is just a ridiculous point, these schools exist, the fact they focus their money on rugby has absolutely nothing to do with the IRFU. They didn’t seek it, but yet they benefit from it. The IRFU plow a huge amount of money into developing the game outside of these schools. Something that’s been discussed at length in this thread. If you choose to keep ignoring that and trying to use the schools as reason to criticize them. That’s because of your blind bias, not anything the IRFU or the branches are doing.

How do the IRFU have anything to answer for over the fact that institutions that are in no way linked to them are getting money from private citizens? What an absolute load of nonsense.

Seriously, just when I thought it couldnt get any funnier....

Again with your class thing. There are rugby clubs all over the country in all types of places.

Closing this. No good has come from it and it has descended into a bit of a farce
