Who knew reverse snobbery is a thing.

You wont be forced to attend either way.

Some logic.people in work place will attend. 233 dead in Italy now and nearly 6000 infected. Death toll is up 50 in 24 hours.the momentum of this needs to be dealt with.

    125 TDs are not FG.

They all stood on a platform to get FG out ASAP.

Up to them to do a deal.

Gives us all a few months to find work abroad.

That would be the DoH, not the government. Really not sure why you keep ignoring this.

Mindless personal insults are what Shinnerbots are known for on Twitter, it is not necessary in here.

    Laughable stuff.

I don’t see Cheltenham being postponed, neither do I see Disneyland Paris closing where they have the equivalent of a St. Patrick’s Day parade twice a day. People need to grow up and see a bit of the world to get perspective.

    Sure blanch sure.

Don't you know it's only an insult if a Shinner said it.

An oncologist, an obstetrician and an immunologist are not experts in this area. It's not the government anyway. If DoH team say cancel they will cancel. There was a stakeholder meeting yesterday and the policy remained unchanged after it.

Pathetic response tbh, are you saying the caretaker government has no authority ?

Because you haven't been spending the last few weeks insulting all and sundry who had the temerity not to vote FG.

Give us all a break would you?

To an article quoting 3 non-expert doctors? No, them's the facts however much you rail against them. They are deferring to the DoH team on this. We are still at "containment". It's pretty simple, if the DoH advise them to shut down St Patrick's Day they will.

I would hazard a guess and suggest that three trained medical professionals would have knowledge of other areas outside of their own expertise. As I said your response was a pathetic response and it's clear what you attempted.

Sure, sure. Who would you rather call to fix a damaged heart valve, a GP or a heart surgeon? The GP can tell you with their expert opinion that you have a heart problem.

What twisted logic got you to that conclusion from his post? Serious question, because it doesn’t make any sense to respond like that.

Well I wouldn’t. I generally find that the more highly specialised and expert a person is in a narrow field, the less able they are to see the broader picture outside of their specialisation.

In this case the oncologist can assess the effect of people coming home from Italy on his small number of patients.

The public health experts advising the government have to think of the health effects on the Irish people left stranded in Italy if you ban flights.

The hurler on the ditch can just mindlessly criticise the government no matter what they do.

The IRFU called it off and the reasons are blindingly obvious and it was that DoH team who advised Harris. He was just at the meeting.
We were then advised, formally, that The National Public Health Emergency team has determined that the series of matches should not proceed, in the interests of Public Health.

You are suggesting FG have no care or interest in how Ireland fares. They got a black eye and are whinging because their options are limited to playing second fiddle to FF or opposition.
'We relish going into opposition' reminds me of "I bet the ticket makes the chocolate taste funny' :)
FG only got/gets the bile it engenders.

Not sure what point you are failing to make my friend ?

Fairly clear to this poster that FG have been subjected to a relentless tirade of criticism from the left...some of it deserved ...and are now saying ..well you guys got the votes .....you put your ideas into action ?

Kinda natural reaction in my opinion and a good cohesive opposition surely cannot be a bad thing ?

Where did I suggest that Fg has no interest in how Ire fares ?

You lost me on the ticket and choccies thing ...sorry !
