It at least answers where it fits in the timeline - so effectively this will operate within another universe it seems.

Looks a lot more fun & interesting than the Falcon series anyway; shades of the Umbrella Academy though with its setting of some kind of buttoned up, interdimensional agency...

Jonathan Majors will make an appearance as Kang the Conqueror

Wonder will the show have fun with it being part of an alternative timeline, or will just ignore it for the sake of keeping Loki alive

Ok, I'm in. I'm still sceptical about these MCU shows after Wandavision; but that looks more up my alley and the show seems aware its lead is a total shít. That they mightn't pull a Dexter. The gag about confirming everything he ever said was good.

I'm only now realising that my favourite kind of MCU seems to be the cosmic craziness kind. Full colour, Farscape flavoured space opera.

That looks cool! but like.. Legion/Umbrella Academy levels.. so is the audience gonna stick it?

Have you ever been on Tumblr? :D Loki is, uh, very popular lol. Of the three TV series thus far and just in terms of the leading character, this is definitely the safest bet IMO.

As long as it doesnt shít all over itself like Wandavision it should be fine.

Legion maybe got a bit too extreme in later seasons for general audience but Umbrella Academy is a total juggernaut with general audience.

And like Foxtrol said Loki/Hiddleston could probably be filmed just having a nap and it would have soaring ratings/online reaction haha.

How long will this series be? Another 6 episode job or something a big more developed?

Wednesday is probably the most competitive night on US TV in general.

The show's Wikipedia has the episode count at 6. Run times between 40 & 50 minutes.

Wednesday is probably the most competitive night on US TV in general.

I heard it is because Black Widow would drop between the last two episodes so if they tie in it made sense to move it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,565 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Wouldn't say it will tie in since Black widow was due out ages ago.
I'd say the only reason it was moved away from Black Widow's release is to be sure people are available to go see Black Widow and aren't staying at hme to watch Loki.

Small clip popped up; definitely getting better vibes from this than the previous two shows' own promotions. Hook that time-travel, alternate dimension cosmic fun into my veins please.

Well I can see the Loki shippers will love this, if only for one "brief" moment, so to speak ;)

I hope they really play with the timeline variances, alternate universes et al; given there's an emphasis this Loki is himself a timeline variant hints towards that. Definitely of the three, this is the series I've been most stoked about.

Forgot this was tomorrow. Only watched the first trailer and no more. Is it doing the same as Bad Batch where they aired the first episode on May 4th, second on the Friday and then stuck to Friday releases or is this going to be every Wednesday?

Every Wednesday for the next 6 weeks.

Decent start nothing more really, However I'm guessing the villain has to be a red herring.

Lokis path of vengeance for Frigga and revenge against Thanos will be the catalyst for Kang to appear :pac:

Enjoyed that, only bit that I thought was stupid was the drawn out scenery scene.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,565 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

A show about how they stopped the existence of multiverse when they have 2 films apparently based around the multiverse coming out.

    Liked that episode.

What is it with futuristic timecops having old looking tech? Umbrella Academy as well. And I've seen others.

I don't think that pile of pages would contain every word Loki ever said, especially since we saw how big the text is on the new pages.

Is it just the one episode? Heard on the radio that there was gonna be two in the first week

I think the first two episodes were sent out to reviewers, but they're not being released like that.

    Very enjoyable first episode.
It was quirky, weird and looked absolutely blooming fantastic.
I am looking forward to episode 2 already, intrigued to see where the rest of the series go.
Great cast as well, loved seeing Owen Wilson!
I was pretty disappointed overall with the falcon and the winter soldier. This was much closer in quality to wandavision for me.

Enjoyable first episode with a lot of weirdness thrown in. It was a little confusing but that's to be expected

    So who else thinks that
    Red Skull is the baddy

It's great the freedom they have due to no rights issues.
Of course there's stuff they wouldn't be allowed to do but their hands aren't as tied like AoS was.
We see that through the amount of movie footage and not just vague references like we had in the Netflix series.

The drawer scene kinda sold me on it. Trinkets.

Really enjoyed that ep. Some fun little revelations.

I also loved how they managed to
put Loki through 9 years of character development in 1 episode
    :pac:

D.B. Cooper scene was very well done some very talented writers came up with that little ode.

    Have I got this right...
This Loki isn't our Loki but the villain Loki is our Loki
I'm a bit confused on who's timeline we are supposed to be in
