Even better they have now started a rumour that Trump killed an intern because he got her pregnant and was going to the press :D

    Sauce for the goose.

    Exactly!

There are idiots on both side who will actually believe this is true so now he can get a taste of his own medicine.

Why do people automatically take Twitter fact check as actual fact?

Is it anti Trumpism? People complaining about how twitter conduct themselves regularly yet once they go against Trump suddenly their word is golden.

Now that's not to say what Trump is saying isn't bullsh1t just interesting that twitter staff are suddenly all knowing

Personally I think the twitter advice [which is all it is] to readers to fact-check the content of the Trump tweets is very polite. They could have been very rude & just advised "don't believe the bullsh1t Trump puts up here". What's your take on their politeness towards Trump? BTW, its not twitter fact check, its advice to readers to fact-check the content of Trumps tweetings. There are online sites a'plenty to do the checking.

Was he slagging Biden about wearing a mask?
    Yes

He also had a shot at a journalist at his press conference.

The journalist was wearing a mask and asked a question , Trump said he couldn't hear them and asked that they remove the mask , they replied "I'll keep the mask on thanks, I'll just speak louder".

Trump replied "Oh , You want to be Politically correct , ok"

So now in Trumps brain , wearing a mask is being "Politically correct" , not "being concerned about your health and that of others"

Jesus wept. I feel sorry for all those people in the US currently being strong-armed into returning to work, all because the Guy at the Top is leading the narrative of a potentially disastrous mutation of Individualism. Lord knows I'm paranoid enough of the dreaded "second wave" of infections but it's hard to see how the US is even remotely well placed to handle it if it occurs.

I watched the accompanying video to your post and again, is related to the Scarborough tweet. As another said, we're all ultimately biased and I'd be lying if I wasn't utterly disgusted by the manner he just doubles down; even after the reporter mentions the latter from the husband. Just gaslights the grieving man by proxy. He's a truly shameless human being. I've been rightly pinged over the extremity of language I've sometimes used but it's very hard to swallow that kind of behaviour.

The mask is now just another weapon in Trumps culture wars. Pathetic in every regard. The best that one can hope for is that enough non social distancing non mask wearing MAGA types fall ill and people trace the source of this diseased ideology back to the President of the disUnited States of America

I understand that Twitter is in a difficult position. Taking down Trump's tweets would be counter-productive as it'd be buying into his "deep state" conspiracy nonsense and would fuel the outrage of his base.

At the same time, there CANNOT be a situation where a person (regardless of public position) is accusing another person of the most serious of crimes on social media, especially someone with 60 million followers. I'm not entirely sure what Twitter can do with this. I wouldn't like to be the one making those decisions!

Twitter need to hold Joe Biden's feed to the same standard.

Which of Bidens tweets do you feel need to be fact checked? Which tweets of Bidens do you consider lies?

    Go on...

    Can you cite examples please

Can't remember where Biden said that a political opponent a Skank, can you show me where?

Neither can I remember where he suggested that a Fox news journalist murdered their intern, can you show me where?

It will be interesting to see if Trump sides with the cops in the murder of George Floyd....

It was Memorial Day on Monday, so obviously there were a lot of pleas for folks to be sensible and stay at home. Advice ignored apparently in the Ozarks, where a number of viral videos have surfaced showing CoVid Pool Parties in full swing. Now, obviously you can't put one incident at the feet of Trump - personal responsibility is always an important aspect regardless - but in terms of setting a mood or narrative that downplays the severity of the overall crisis, it's hard not to draw a cognitive link between this kind of brazen ignorance and the example set by national leadership.

(And obviously with viral video, some healthy scepticism as to the source applies here but there are a number of varying videos knocking about all pertaining to the same time & place).

I wouldn't think so given his previous position on people taking a knee

But they were black athletes and not white cops so you never know

Tear gas and rubber bullets used against peaceful protesters. No it's not China, it's Minneapolis.

And as the 1st response to that tweet points out - Where was that reaction when the white people rocked up to various Government buildings to protest the lockdown , with Guns or effigies of a Governor lynched on a tree?

They had guns. Tear gas and beat downs wouldn't be wise

He's really stirring up this Twitter stuff. The Trump supporters must really hate Twitter? If he's kind of making it a thing to focus on. I wonder will he get the POTUS account moved over to gab :)

I hope he does this "big action" soon.

What have they being saying about Twitter and their compatriots?

He's still trying to make the completely un-fetchworthy "Obamagate" a thing:

Presumably it's nodding towards the lingering narrative that the Big Tech companies all have a Liberal Bias. Fox, the GOP and anyone under the "conservative" umbrella like to conflate various demographic trends, or misread search results, as proof of bias. Or the Google dev James Damore, a self-titled conservative who claimed he was fired for having conservative beliefs.

edit: found it; looks like he dropped the case earlier this month with little fanfare: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ex-google-engineer-became-wing-012055446.html

The President of the United States tweeting on Twitter about how Twitter are going to get their ass kicked. Beyond parody.

Do you honestly believe that if those protestors had arrived to the Police station with guns and tactical gear that the police would have just stood by stoically like they did in Michigan??

I think it would be great if Trump moved to another platform. There are too many monoliths in tech.

It's a kind of funny symbiotic relationship really. People keep saying that Twitter needs Trump and without doubt they do.

But it's a 2 way street. Trump needs twitter just as much to give him the platform he has.

So ultimately, like all of Trumps threats, they're toothless

What do people expect the reaction of twitter fact checking to to be when the person in charge of it regularly tweets out stuff like this?

It's just a bad road to go down man, things work better if people are left to make up their own minds. Everyone has political bias, I don't like the idea that everything should be policed and to put pure blind faith into so called "fact checks". At what point does opinion bleed over?
