    Hello Wherers!

On catch up and hoping all are well. Just called in to the home place and it's odd to say that I miss all the visitors ... our house is usually a hive of activity but we're all being really careful around our elderly parents. I'm never complaining about visitors again! Our Mam is a real people person and we're all panicking about her difficulty with social distancing. Last year she got her cataracts done. I took her to a post op checkup and she was reminded of the high risk of infection. Leaving the doctor, she said that she wanted to call in to visit an elderly neighbour. When we arrived at the ward, the nurse discreetly told us to avoid any physical contact as our neighbour had MRSA. The minute my Mam saw our neighbour, she gave her a big hug! Social distancing is going to be challenging to say the least! My chatty Mam & Dad love my little doggie so I've decided to leave her with them for the duration of this crisis ... they need her more than me. Keep safe everyone!

I have some dock leaves for sale. 10 for €120

Are you sure it's docks, at that money I'd be expecting a hallucinogenic, :) or I'd use a nettle.
Just back from shopping in Dunnes Longford.
The panic buyers must be either still in bed or stocked up.
Quiet and peaceful in there and well stocked.
Home now having a bacon buttie.

Just homeside, did a ridiculous shop after the bj...I've every type of sweets, crisps, biscuits and cakes bought, one bottle of red wine and will stock up if I like it later...hopefully some sensible person that stocked up on proper essentials will be willing to trade for my treats if this situation continues...mad mind to go pubside about 5pm as i have a definite feeling they're all going to be shut down after the weekend.

Town was unbelievably quiet, a few tourists around but very few locals, so bloody weird.

I don't like this carry on at all tbh..

Might swap it for a 4 bedroom house.

The way I see it Duvet is that we don't know what's around the corner with this. Lockdown may not happen but if it does then I'm going to continue with my normal routine as much as is possible until then. I will be doing this with caution, taking the car instead of public transport, being maintaining distance between me and others, a lot of handwashing etc.

    It will be ok :)

People are forgetting, in the moments of mass hysteria, that people are being advised to exercise care but shops and services are being asked to remain open for as long as possible. Pubs, cafes, restaurants, hair dressers salons etc are reliant on business and customers spending money so that people can pay bills and pay staff wages. It is okay for people who may already be on social welfare, who are able to stay at home all day, but it is tougher and very scary when you’re relying on being able to get out, or people using your services, to ensure you have money to put food on the table and keep the roof over your head. That is why I will exercise care, but continue on as normal as I can until there is a complete lockdown.

We have set up a local group to deliver groceries etc for local elderly people if needed over the coming weeks. Getting volunteers in and getting organised.
    Nice to be doing something.

That's really nice. I have seen people offering to do similar around here. These things can bring out the best in people at times.

Home side here. Going to get out walking shortly.

What city was that? I just got a similar message for a group of pubs down here in Cork.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Eating some nougat Tonys chocolate. It's like toblerone but unlike those, the shape wasn't designed by an idiot, so you can get it into your mouth without stabbing the roof of your mouth every time you bite into it.

Really restless now. I think I have akisthisia ( fromthe Greek for "unable to sit", in the sense of struggling to stay still and be at peace) It's usually caused by psych. meds but not in my case as I dont take those. Royal pain in the Nelly.

This social isolation thing is a bit monotonous now.

In the car while mam gets a few bits and bobs in town. Social isolation going well then
