1-0 to Liam Williams there over Stuart Hogg with the Lions on mind. Great take.

Edit - then he throws an average pass to 1/2p

Halfpenny looked to be the tackler there. Hogg right to feel aggrieved.

    Yup, agree

In a long line of flaky Scottish 10s, Hastings fits right in.

At least it can't be as bad in the second half. Can it?

I know its early yet, but the record lowest Six Nations score is 12-6

Ireland once drew 6-6 with Scotland in the 90’s. In the following Monday’s Evening Press, Con Houlihan surmised that the game was so bad that had Webb Ellis seen it he’d have wished that he had punctured the ball.

Think I dozed off for 20 mins there and woke up without having actually missed anything...

Neither team has any idea what they are doing in attack.

Cue Scotland celebrating winning the World Cup.

And Wales loosing is always a bonus!

Scotland deserving winners, as much as anyone deserved to win that mess

The biggest thing to take away from the match is that Ireland should be dumping Canterbury and getting Macron to make the Jerseys from now on.

For a coach who built his reputation off the back of flowing, attacking rugby, Wayne Pivac's Wales are very poor with the ball in hand.

Hindsight is a great thing but Wales should’ve chanced their bets with trying to get Scotty Robertson

A win by 30 or less is as much as we can hope for really. Unfortunately I think it will be much more.
Here's hoping Minozzi scores a wonder try or 2 and England throw away an intercept try

Italian player clearly went to drop it onto his foot and made contact with it before hacking it on.

Johnny May clearly hits his man in the air?

Clear as day, that’s a head scratcher, how was the try allowed?

Tackle in the air on the italian?

It wasn’t even marginal, looked to have his foot about a foot and a half from contacting the ground when he was tackled. Odd. But some of the refereeing so far has been dreadful.

What's the TMO doing not bringing that to the ref's attention?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

So TMO steps in late to award England a knock on but won’t look at a blatant air tackle?

The crowd noises have been bizarre lately

Italy are an embarrassment. Year after year

Ah, you have to respect the tactic of knocking the ball forward at every opportunity in order to wind down the clock with scrums.

    What a try

Rugby is in a bad place both sides of the equator imo. The likes of Italy are just going nowhere.

More bad games than good and tournaments losing their lustre, for me anyway.

The southern hemisphere has been on the slide for quite a while with empty stadia and a lack of interest. That New Zealand team is far from vintage and they belted Australia.
