Does anyone have a link to the browser version of the app by the way?

As of 10:15 (when I checked) the website started showing prices. I'll pop down later today and do an experiment with our unregistered card.

It'll be very interesting to see cpinfo.ie over next few weeks. Anyone want to propose the best charger to pick in terms of "local freeloading", would it be the lucan one?

  • Administrators, Computer Games Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,783 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭Mickeroo

I'd say any charger in the greater Dublin area was rife with it.

BIG ISSUE. needs to be fixed ASAP. If it is true then I wonder if the tested the Web app at all.

It seems that anyone can stop anyone's charging session from the Web app.

Can you someone else test this on the ground with a mate or something?

ESB website reports me that I'm still charging even though I'm at work for a good while now. The CCS session is me. 45 minutes later somebody started a CHADEMO but according to ESB I'm still charging. I presume I will be paying overstay fee :D

No you can't. IF it is not your session the swipe is greyed out and the text chargers is occupied is below. When it is your session you see a timer instead.

I guess we should put our pitchforks back in the closet. Out of interest, did you end your session or just let the car finish it's charge?

Try it again. I could do it. If you wait a bit on the page it will be let you do that.

I ended it at 69%. A leaf 24 was waiting and connected immediately. He mentioned something that he needs only 10 mins. That was at 10:05.

So it's gone live then? I wonder how many EV drivers out there don't even know about the charges coming in.

Plenty im sure. Hilarious stuff, though ESB will likely just give them some goodwill if they ring up saying they can't charge.

I ve tried again on a SCP.
You can swipe but you'll get a "Rejected" error message. I tried or on a FCP before it didn't give me any error message. I'd strongly advise testing out on a FCP.

I looked at all 7 FCP in use right now and all have the swipe greyed out. BTW nice to see a nearly all green map.

Ironically, the FCP in Kilbeggan which has been out of action for weeks is working again this morning according to the ecars map!!!

be careful with that assumption. It's always shown as "working" on the new maps. Although in relaity the chadamo and ccs are broken and the AV is working.
It may have been fixed, or it may not, the problem is that the map is showing it as working becuase the AC only is working.
I've reported same and was told that IT have been informed about the map error

Careful now, have you filtered by CCS or CHAdeMO? The greenness could mean the AC is free to use, while the DC is being used.

That said, I just checked the map and it looks like only 7 (one of the 2 in Kilcullen is in use) DC chargers outside dublin are in use, and 7 inside dublin.

DING DING DING! Chademo in Stillorgan might be the winner of the first overstayer fee :P

It’s been showing as out of action on the old app for ages and working fine on new map!! Shows as available on both now.

Overstay Charges need to be brought in for slow chargers too. One in Market Square tullamore is occupied since 9:35 this morning and a second one in Tanyard lane was being used by an i3 an hour ago - it says it’s offline now.

Too soon, don't forget there are lots of cars out there that will only take 3.3 off the slow chargers so will need 7/8 hours to charge up completely.

    charge at home then!!

My point being a car hooked up at 9:35 in the morning and still there at 13:40 could quite easily be still charging e.g. a Leaf30 with a 3.3 charger will only have gained 35-40% charge in that time period

I tried twice to charge near Galway airport and there were always two cars queuing, and even now charger seems to be busy. It seems this location would indeed need another one or even two.

How tight are we as a nation? The old "Fastcharger" freeloaders are now the "Slow AC" freeloaders and more than willing to sit there most the day.

All to save a couple of euro!! One of the best features of an ev is plug in before you go to bed and wake up with a full battery! Only time I will use the network will be on the few long journeys I do beyond the cars range. Ecars will make very little money off my account!

unless its a couple of times a week. 5Eur *2*52= 520EUR annually (before kw charge)

If that is location where parking when charging is free this saving could be easily higher that 1000 Euro annually. For many people this is significant amount of money.

My ghost session sorted itself out. The figures are spot on.
