This is what I thought this was about but I watched the trailer and there's no hint at all of any Groundhog Day shenanigans. I'll definitely give it a watch at some point though.

I remember seeing this as a kid and thinking "wow, imagine that really happening sometime"

I can still see the scene where someone sneezes in a packed cinema in my head

    Miss Sloane

Jessica Chastain is a Washington lobbyist who is offered a chance to work for the gun lobby who want to defeat a bill that will introduce background checks. She turns it down to work for the opposition so the powerful gun lobby try to destroy her reputation

Fast paced clever dialogue and a lot of twists

I loved it, two thumbs up

midnight run has been on netflix before but its good to see its back, very funny and should crop up more when people talk about the best work of De Niro.

Dennis Farina is a great villain in this also.

    Mindhunter and Ozark.

Kind of late to the party on both of these but going to post it as there might be people in the same boat as me.

Watched one episode of both of these series years ago and never went back to them, had the time lately to get stuck in to both of them and can honestly say they’re two of the best series I’ve watched. I probably slightly prefer ozark but both are well worth getting into.

Delayed due a contract disagreement between the distributors and the film production crew [according to Screendaily]. Just in case anyone goes to look for it.

Enjoyed Child's Play for what it was, but I was expecting something a bit more iconic from a Chucky doll voiced by Mark Hamill.

    Think I saw a
    Leprauchan
Easter egg in there which would make an interesting sequel!

I see The Wizard is now on Netflix. Best Nintendo ad ever!

On Episode 3 of "Freud" now. Turns out its much more than about Sigmund Freud. I don't know how much of it is factual, but it also has witch-craft and the imperial family's dabbling it it, and is also part detective drama with some opera thrown in.

42-year-old Viorel, a distraught engineer, takes drastic measures to end his emotional suffering after enduring a devastating divorce.

    Code 8
In a city where super-powered people are ostracized, an earnest day laborer considers using his outlawed abilities for money to save his sick mother.

    Night Hunter
A detective's hunt for a serial killer intersects with a vigilante's quest to punish sexual predators in a case of dizzying twists and turns.

    Press season 1
Two British newspapers, one profitable tabloid trash, the other struggling for readers despite its integrity, clash in the modern media battleground.

Watched Love Wedding Repeat last night and enjoyed it. Quirky, clever and different. The way the various plot twists and turns are introduced is new to me. I’d not seen anything quite like it before.

And the location looks lovely. Roll on our ability to travel again.

Not sure from the description but is it Groundhog Day type time loop or Sliding Doors type alternate timelines?

It's more Sliding Doors. How small decisions can have an impact on everything.

Starting on "Charité at War", a series about a German hospital during World War 2.

Watched first 15 mins of Code 8, but despite its decent production it's fairly amateurish otherwise.

The Platform was clever enough in its fresh take on an old idea. Surprisingly tense in many places, given the nature of the conceit. Rare to see a philosophical/political notion played out in such a brutal yet clever way
Rawls' Veil of Ignorance principle there for the taking through monthly random levels of daily 2-minute opportunities to eat, in trickle-down fashion
. Despite its ever-increasing goriness and brutality, its a very well-crafted film: the violence isn't gratuitous, it's chilling, making it an inventive horror film.
