Not at all, one loss doesn't matter too much. It's not about whether a team wins or not, more about whether that success comes from an unfairly advantaged platform, as Dublin's has. The inverse is also true- even if a team doesn't mean every year, e.g., Dublin before the overfunding started, it doesn't mean that that team is not unfairly advantaged (and that measures shouldn't be taken to get rid of those advantages and improve the prestige, integrity and fairness of the competition).

They do have a terrible record in the league v Monaghan. Monaghan have won most of the league games (v Dublin) in the past 5 years. With a draw thrown in somewhere. That being said, Dublin put them away last year when it counted most in the Championship.

Its with a heavy heart i say this ,but unfortunately i have to agree with you ,split Kerry for a decade and lets see how it goes , it would help all Counties and it would also help Kerry , i have no problem with them winning fairly ,but unfortunately this is not the case .

That's probably true but may just reflect Dublin's population advantage again in this discussion- neutrals like myself are outnumbered. But regardless you previously said you'd agree with splits to Dublin as long as other teams were also split. I agree with half of that, the part about splitting Dublin.

Again, people don't mind success as long as it comes fairly- like in Kilkenny's case. That's why there were no calls to split them in 2012. People have a problem with success coming unfairly, as it has in Dublin's case, which is why there was more and more calls for them to be split in 2020 in the mainstream media, on the Sunday game, Prime Time ran a special on it.

For you to still not believe that Dublin are unfairly advantaged you'd have to believe their larger playing pool makes no difference, the funding advantage they have makes no difference and that playing at home makes no difference, among other things- any of these are clearly ridiculous positions. And if they really do make no difference as a partisan Dublin supporter you presumably wouldn't mind a reduction in playing pool, a decrease in funding or having to play away from home a bit more often?

And again people don't mind success when its fair just like Kilkenny's success, people do however mind when it's won unfairly, like in Kerry's case all those advantages coming out of a hurling province winning 84 Munster titles against weak Counties and then only having to peak in the All Ireland series / semi finals when other provinces have to play more matches against stiffer opposition to what Kerry faced , getting more injuries etc to get to the same stage,for you to still not to believe Kerry are unfairly advantaged you as a partisan Kerry supporter you presumably wouldn't mind a decrease in funding and population down to the level of Leitrim Longford or Carlow.

Kerrys advantage is miniscule relative to dublin, and they play in munster with the 4th most successful football county so not sure what your talking about, and they still have to travel to dublin for knockout games

I disagree , Kerry have won 84 Munster titles in a Hurling province, only having to peak for the All Ireland Semi final which is a huge factor in them winning 38 All Ireland titles, they have funding and population advantage over Leitrim Longford Carlow etc , I don't know why you feel you need to dispute Kerry's advantages.

You're aware that Munster is far more competitive than Leinster these days? And that the provincials are not the only path to the All Ireland series unlike 2000 and before. So your information is a little out of date unfortunately. Absolutely funding should be equalised across counties, or better yet, directed more towards poorer performing counties. But as Dublin's population is a larger population gap than the next largest county (itself and outlier) than the next largest county is than Leitrim, only Dublin should be split.

There has been- Dublin in recent decades. They have been insanely favoured by the GAA year in, year out. Not sure are you aware but these advantages include Dublin getting far higher funding than all other counties both from the GAA and other sources. Playing finals and semi-finals in their home ground. Having a far larger playing pool than any other county. This is why we're having this friendly discussion.

Dublin have had to win eight or nine matches each year to win an All-Ireland, only having three was a massive massive unfair advantage to Kerry.

But we know Kerry supporters won't mind Kerry being split, they have had so much success that they won't begrudge a little to other counties. Sure they will be boasting about Kerry North meeting Kerry South in the All-Ireland final. Or will it be Kerry East versus Kerry West? Which way do you think Kerry could be split?

Not at all, I'm a neutral who just wants to see a fair competition where Dublin alone aren't uniquely favoured over everyone else. The best way, the only way by now, to achieve this is by splitting Dublin. This will enhance the prestige, integrity and fairness of the competition which will help all counties, including Dublin. Think of if a Dublin divisional side won the All-Ireland- they could actually take some pride in it, unlike the wins of recent years coming as they have off a their platform of unfair advantages.

Absolutely I'd agree with counties being split if there is a compelling reason to do so, as we've proven is the case for Dublin. But as Dublin alone are the only county uniquely unfairly advantaged, they're the only county who should be split. This would benefit Dublin too, as it would all counties.

Ah no ,your not a neutral , you don't care about fairness , Kerry has unfairly dominated Munster a hurling province for over a century , having a clear advantage in the All Ireland series winning handy All Irelands , you don't care about the weaker Counties all you care about is Kerry domination, the best way to stop these unfair advantages is to split Kerry , i don't say this easily in fact it breaks my heart this has to happen but in the interest of fairness integrity and prestige Kerry must be split .
