    I am curious though as to how 12 hebrew speaking boys who can't speak english could ask for consent?

    There is no way a 19 yr old girl would want what happened. Pull the other one.

    If it were 12 soldiers and a Palestinian woman there would be uproar.

    Well she wouldn't go to the police if she enjoyed it so much and I'm pretty sure she didn't consent to the footage being shared on the internet. If we park the issue of false allegations and rape (whatever was), anyone who watches the footage of people being raped or having sex with someone to which distribution they didn't consent is utter scum. They are the bottom feeders who feed on other people's humiliation and make judgements about them.

    I actually believed she had lied ..until she said the police forced her to withdraw her statement. Then 2 other women said the same thing happened to them with Cypriot police.

    The statement withdrawing her claims wasn't in proper English. It wasn't written by a native speaker.

    Its odd.

    The fact is that she was found guilty of making false accusations. I have no reason to believe that she was framed for that.

    It's a horrible situation and have no interest in getting into a tit-for-tat with any posters regarding this situation.

    I just think that it is bizarre and telling that some posters consistently only ever see women as victims and men as aggressors (not directed at you) regardless of any evidence.

    Anyway, I have nothing further to contribute, as the case has been decided until the appeal.

    But...

    Her statement withdrawing the charges was written in broken English ....not a native level speaker. And she claims she didn't write it.

    Cypriot police have been caught doing the same before.

    There's something very suspicious and sinister about this case.
    I find it very hard to believe that a 19yr old young woman would consent to having sex with 11 of her boyfriends friends, one after the other, while the others watched. I find it very hard to believe she would consent to having it filmed.
    Even the most sexually adventurous of women wouldn't want a video like that being passed around, and by all accounts she appears to have been quite sheltered prior to this incident. Enjoying group sex is one thing, riding 11 of your boyfriends mates on camera is another thing entirely.

    And regardless, while I don't deny threesomes etc. are more common than in the past, 11 men to 1 woman would be a HIGHLY unusual dynamic.
    There's a reason its a very popular porn category - its a taboo fantasy that rarely occurs in real life for most of the population. A lot of porn actresses won't even do such scenes as its so degrading.
    So its not your exactly run of the mill holiday bedroom activity, and not something most people would do for a laugh after a few too many. Again, a threesome I might believe, but 11 on 1?

    She was interviewed for 7 hours with no access to legal advice/representation and she wasn't allowed speak to her family.
    Her "confession" appears to be written by a person with a poor grasp of the English language, even the way the sentences were constructed were not remotely similar to how a native speaker would word things, particularly a 19 year old whose dialect would be more informal/casual.

    Something stinks here. I hope the truth comes out.

    The bedroom in the videos matches the bedroom in the newspaper photo. All of this was in the post I seen.
    2 beds sideways and one along the bottom. Everything is the exact same.

    Why do you defend her ?

    Have to agree with with the fake videos.

    My two eldest sons in their mid 20's have been sent videos and said out of the 4 or 5 they have seen it's two different girls.

    Because i believe her.

    And the boys acted appallingly when they returned to Israel. It very very was odd. When they returned to ben gurion aiport the israeli media reported they popped champagne and were chanting 'THE BRITON IS A WHORE' . it was filmed

    I doubt the veracity of those videos since sharing them would be illegal.

    Two of the guys she accused werent even there, whether or not people want to have a go at the cyprus police, shes definitely partly guilty for that. She has falsely accused atleast two of them.

    Im no fan of Israel but this case has shown up just how easily some people in the ‘ibelieveher’ movement will become rabid anti-semites

    Call it crass all you want, but the way cards are stacked against men in the courts and of public opinion , were i found not guilty on a false rape charge id definitely pop champagne and say some nasty things about my accuser.

    That is different to it being recorded on her phone.

    Young women rarely willingly engage in group sex. I think it would be statistically very unlikely.

    Only 6 % of women have had group sex.

    Didn't 3 of the men deny being there untill DNA revealed otherwise...then they acknowledged they did have sex with her but it was consentual

    Theres no mask slip, sure pady jackson, ched evans and thats just the publicly listed ones , false accusations stick forever and its damn hard to live a normal life after, men are done for as soon as the woman opens her mouth about it.

    none of us were there so none of us know anything reliably. IF (and its a big if) the whatsapp videos going round are genuine then she certainly appears to have filmed part of the incident. but as i say we have no way of knowing what happened. maybe it will all come out when she appeals.

    I read she accused people that weren’t even present and accused people that were present.
    The videos only show 3 men it’s clear there wasn’t 12.
    You probably wouldn’t even get that many in such a small apartment without there being a lot of talking and noise in the background. Whether she slept with other men of the same gang on subsequent nights/days is another story. And I do believe it’s totally unrealistic that she willingly done this with 12 men in the one night because she lied about it which is clear from the videos. It was 3 maybe 4 max involved in the orgy.
    I understand your trying to excuse this woman’s actions because she done a silly thing.
    And she is young and stupid. But she made a mistake and should pay for it like everyone else. Male or Male...

    I don't hold any weight in the videos being passed around whatsapp. I've heard of about 4/5 different videos going around, they can't all be her and they can't all be of the incident.

    Ill agree its unusual and definitely above vanilla , but that doesnt make it any more likely that 1 man let alone 9 others and 2 who werent even there are rapists.

    Less than 1% of men are rapists and its more likely that this woman stumbled upon 12 of them than 1 woman is into group sex when shes had a few drinks....
